How to use Bodyslide Presets on NPCs

Did you want to use it on a companion/follower? If so, open bodyslide, pick the outfit (or multiple outfits) you want her to wear, and apply that preset to those (obviously, don't put those outfits on anyone else). If you wanted her to be totally naked, there are nudesuit mods and you could use the preset on that.

IMO the best way to have different bodyslide presets for different characters in FO4 is by using bodygen:

(i'll take no responsibility if the following guide breaks your save-game/game and/or pc :P)

(also: it's probably best if you first read through this wall of text at least once before you start doing what's in the text)

you'll need looksmenu and have built all outfits in bodyslides with morphs AND the "CBBE Zeroed Sliders" preset (all sliders at 0, because the morphed sliders will be applied ingame via looksmenu's bodygen.

in order for bodygen to work there need to be at least two files present:

  1. Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\BodyGen\Fallout4.esm\templates.ini - this file has all the bodyslide presets you want to use ingame defined
  2. Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\F4EE\BodyGen\Fallout4.esm\morphs.ini - this file defines which charactes should use which bodyslide preset (from the ones you have in the templates.ini file)

now, thankfully you can get a good prebuilt version of both those files from this mod page: BodyConvert

Download both the templates.ini and morphs.ini for the CBBE body (or whatever body you use)

While you're at it also download the bodyconvert.exe as you'll want this to convert the bodyslide-preset.xml format to the bodygen format for looksmenu.

here comes the slightly inconvenient part:

first you'll need to manually add the ursula's figure preset to the templates.ini file

But the templates.ini file expects the preset definitions in bodygen format, NOT in bodyslide format.
This is where the bodyconvert.exe comes into play: it converts between bodyslide, bodygen and bodymorph (no idea what the last one is)

  1. start bodyconvert.exe and delete all the text in the LEFT window.
  2. Open the ursula preset.xml with a text editor and copy all the text from the .xml into the left window of bodyconvert.
  3. Click the button below the left window labeled "ToBodyGen"
  4. Now the middle window will display the ursula preset in bodygen format
  5. Copy the content of the middle window into a seperate line in the earlier downloaded templates.ini

that's all the modifications for the templates.ini file.

for the morphs.ini:

IMO this file is almost self explanatory by just looking at it, but just in case it needs explaining:

every line will define which type of bodygen-presets are available for which type of characters, for example:

#Piper
Fallout4.esm|2F1E=Angelic Outfit

The character with the base id 2F1E from the Fallout4.esm will use the angelic outfit preset. You can get the base id by using either the wiki or probably by using FO4edit

For characters which are not explicitly defined in the morphs.ini file, this line is interesting:

All|Female|HumanRace=CBBE Curvy|CBBE Slim

defines that all other female humanrace characters will either be using the CBBE Curvy or the CBBE Slim preset

hope this helps, best of luck, maybe also google for a bodygen guide, in case my explanation is bad
