A couple questions about CBBE HDT, CBBE 3BBB and CBBE SE

Recommended Posts

EDIT: I'm talking about the SSE Mods, not oldrim

EDIT x2: Fixed CBBE HDT to CBBE SMP

1. What's different from CBBE SMP and regular CBBE SE? Can't the normal CBBE SE use SMP?

2. How are CBBE SMP and CBBE 3BBB different exactly?

3. Which is the better option between all three of them?

4. Is it worth it, as an immersive armors user to switch to CBBE 3BBB or CBBE SMP? Is there compatible bodyslide files for immersive armors or something?

5. Is CBBE SMP compatible with CBBE SE armors and vice versa?

6. Is CBBE 3BBB compatible with CBBE SMP armors and vice versa?

7. There is still tons of CBBE SE bodyslide armors on the nexus, I use a ton of them. Is it easy to convert them to CBBE 3BBB or CBBE SMP? Is it even worth it because of the existing number of mods that are for CBBE SE?

8. Can you use normal CBBE bodyslide presets with CBBE 3BBB or CBBE SMP?

If  u are  talking about CBBE HDT from Oldrim then no its not even compatible with SE...

CBBE 3BBB  is a body with 3 breast bones to replace regular CBBE SE and is the best option if you want to use CBBE in SE , better physics  better weight painting...(you can  use SMP, CBPC or both in a comboway) and everything is explained on its page on  nexus, Armors made for old CBBE are not compatible, the body is not the same as Oldrim. Armors made for CBBE SE are compatible with any CBBE 3bbb body but they wont have physics unless somebody made them , you can also add it yourself to any armor/clothing via outfit studio, on CBBE 3BBB page is a guide on converting armors/adding physics to them and the process is simple. Presets come with CBBE 3BBB body just like in CBBE SE, curvy, slim....

Immersive armors , you can add physics to them yourself.

Vanilla armors have CBBE bodyslides embedded in Bodyslide and outfit studio.

But is it worth switching? I mean there is SO many more mods that just use CBBE SE.

well it really depends,  if you want the 18+  stuff collisions and such you have to install the amazing version anyway, otherwise if collisions are not what you need then  you can use Legacy Bodies option in  the installer, you will  have  then CBBE SE physics CBBE  SE special which can be built in bodyslide . As  i said its an improvement , better weight  paint  on bones, more  bones, better physics ( by default  you can choose 4  size options)  also it works like this that not everybody has SMP just you  the player if female,  and  with a  hotkey when you aim at npc you switch between CBPC and SMP, that means the stress on your system will be lesser, you can toggle physics on/off ingame and use them on your followers or on whichever npc you want.

If  you dont use sex mods ,  install 3BBB anyway  and choose LegacyBodies in fomod. And as Armors go you can still use the same armors as  you did  before its just they wont  have 3BBB  but physics will still be there, i have quite some armor and outfit SMP mods without 3bbb bones.

You should use 3BBB SMP for the simple reason that it is 99% compatible with  CBBE SE and CBEE SMP while it might not work all that well the other way around.

The only thing that gives weird results are racemenu morphs, if you use 3BBB morphs on a CBBE armor your body will look weird.
