Thanks for making a good mod. I have a question. Inside the CinErotique folder there is another folder Extras folder. There are several compressed folders in the Extras folder. Do I need to unzip this too?

Not necessarily. Those .zips contain mod files that can be used to enable/disable certain mod features (like globally disabling a certain TV channel, etc.).
Please refer to the included !README 1ST.txt file in the same folder for details on what each file do.

had to remove as it's causing a glitch that interferes with and decimates the simology section. took forever going through mod after mod but finally narrowed it down to this one. take it out and everything works normally. hopefully there will be an update.

Thanks for the report, but TBH your description is not very helpful from my point of view.

I just tested the simology panel in game with and without my mod present, and i can't see anything different, or out of the ordinary.

To properly investigate the problem, please provide some detailed description on:

• What "glitch"/interference is the mod supposedly causing? (with/without screenshots would be also nice)
• In what way does it "decimates" the simology section?

looking at the video, i think the only non-ingame stuff on them is the girls' elf-ears and the dirt overlay on them.

Aaah, ok, I see... I was looking at the preview video, so it was confusing, as that Poison Ivy outfit was only used for the cover image, so to make it more "family friendly".

TBH, I have never seen the actual original video - nor do I wish to, as I'm quite disgusted by these sort of things - I only know of it because of its meme status.
I just wanted to make a "football themed" video back then, as the World Cup was on at the time, so it felt topical; and I thought it would be a great pun to call the video "2 Girls, 1 Cup Final". That's all, really, no need to over-analyze.

Been seeing magazine shelves pop up and wonder if you plan to add onto your cinema stuff pack or something, readable porn mags can be fun, maybe some dvd/bluray shelves would be good as i kinda built a retail store that looks like a movie rental store, selling vaps from basemental drugs and wicked perversions as the movies on the shelves are only decoration, just need a R18 curtain and glory hole booths, if i can find good animations for glory holes from asketo's mod.

 

May i also suggest maybe an idea of a peeping or caught peeping video, just something for if you start running out of ideas.

Whenever I download the first file as it says to do and I try to unzip it., it just comes up with loads of question marks. I have tried different web browsers and it does the same thing. Can someone please help me.

You have to download and unzip the !CinErotique_Mod_Framework_[v6.2d]_(2022-AUG-20).zip file, and not literally the first file from the list, that's just a separator text file.

 

EDIT: Updated the relevant part in the mod's description to include the filename and avoid any possible confusion in the future.

• The core Mod Framework was updated to add compatibility for the 1.96.365 game patch.

Files affected by this update within the !CinErotique_Mod_Framework_[v6.2e]_(2023-MAR-15).zip are

• PECO_MOD_CinErotique.package

The individual video package files were not affected by this update. No need to update or re-download those.

All porn channels are locked on all TVs by default (apart from a preview channel), with two possible ways to unlock them...

 

 

Option 1.: Pay a §100 one time fee to unlock all Premium Channels. If you're a law abiding simizen, there are simply no other way! The hard working pornstars of Simsville have bills to pay too, and you, as an upstanding, honest member of your sim community, simply can't bear the thought of them going hungry, just because you want free porn. Quick and Easy!

 

 

Option 2.: Bah, payment-smayment! You didn't spend 4 years on siM.I.T. university to waste your money on something that you can acquire easily for free. Put that degree in Handiness to the test, and hack your way through, by completing the "Super Reception" upgrade, all you need is your trusty screwdriver and some parts... Yarr, it's a pirate's life for me!

 

... either way you chose, all channels are now unlocked, enjoy the show!

 

 

 

DISCUSSION ABOUT PORN FILMS (NEW in v6.2a)

Your sims can now have a discussion about all the saucy stuff they just saw on the TV.
The new "Discuss Pórn Films..." social context menu is available while watching any pórn channel, and even shortly after.

At present, this interaction is really just "fluff", there's nothing more to it then providing some context sensitive talking points for your sims to have, but I will think about how to flesh it out a bit more in future releases.

 

CUSTOMIZABLE PERSONAL WATCH PREFERENCE (UPDATED in v6.2d)

By default, all sims can watch all kinds of porn, but if you'd like to roleplay, you can set up personal watch preferences for each sim, so they'll only watch certain things on the TV.
(for example, a sim with a preference of "No Gay Porn" will never watch the gay channel on the TV.)

 

There's also an option to make a sim into a Porn Maniac.
When Sims with trait decide to autonomously watch something on the TV, if they're able to, will always choose to watch porn over other channels.
Note: this trait does not increase the likelihood of autonomous TV watching, it only changes the outcome.

How to use:

• Click on the active sim
• Select "Set Porn Watching Preferences" from the pie menu.
• Make your selection from the list.

Alternatively, you can still add/remove these traits through Wicked Whims as well:

• SHIFT-CLICK on the sim > "Cheat Sim Info..." > "Add trait..." or "Remove trait..." > then select the desired trait(s) you want to add (or remove) for your sim from the list.

Did you just catch your sim watching the naughty stuff on the TV?... why not let him/her relieve themselves by having a quick session of "coup de main"...
Just click on the sim, and select "Masturbate to TV Porn".

 

 

Note: this feature requires Wicked Whims v170 or later.

 

 

IMPROVED ALWAYS ON DISPLAYS

There are three Always-on Displays available now - Plasmatron, Monolith and a frameless one.
All of them can be configured to show content from a certain channel, they can even be muted if you need it so.

They can be bought from Build Mode > Electronics > Misc for §1.

 

 

There isn't much more to say about these, they're screens... they play videos... that's it. ?

I installed everything as per directions but everytime i try to play a video, it plays for a bit then my sim gets prompted to take a nap and the video stops playing. Not sure what the issue is.

Thank you. This is actually helpful information, now at least I know where and what to look for.

 

EDIT 1:

Reported "Napping Bug" is confirmed in testing.

• What triggers it: The bug triggers when your sim is realxing on a bed and tries to watch any CinErotique channel.
• What does it do: The sim autonomously cancels the TV watching action after a couple of ingame minutes, turns off the TV and - regardless of current energy levels - starts to take a nap instead.
• Mod Framework versions affected: all versions between 6.0 and 6.2e

Interestingly, sometimes it only triggers on one side of the bed, but not on the other --- well, that's Sims just code for ya I guess, lol.

Anyway, I'm working on a fix, and will hopefully release a patched version for the mod later on today.

 

PS: Let this be a lesson for all of us, if I get a report that the mod is "not working", then there isn't much I can do, but if you take the time to describe the exact situation/cause/problem you're facing, then I will have a chance to fix it.

 

EDIT 2:

The issue now should be solved in the latest v6.2f update of the mod framework.

[Dark Thoughts]

Yeah. I don't often use furniture like beds and lounge chairs where you relax rather than sit in combination with TVs but it seems to have some issues. Though I also noticed that sims that use the "masturbate to TV" option when sitting often have issues with other sims interrupting them, for example through dialog. They stop the animation to reply but the masturbation option stays greyed out, saying they're already doing it. Not sure if the option even exist on relaxing sims.
