Immersive Armors + SexLab/ a bunch of other mods?

Hey, so I'm currently modding skyrim to the limit, or trying to. Recently I discovered the Immersive Armors mod (don't know why I hadn't seen it before) and the few armors I have seen while playing already look a lot better than most armor mods. My max plugin game was fairly stable before and I could play almost crash/lag free. I

After I installing a bunch of new mods I realized my game would crash after a while with the papyrus logs looking like in Spoiler 2: (I realize it doesn't help figuring out what's causing this, but just so you see what would happen when loading the savegame.)

 

After a bit of trying and failing I found out that Immersive Armors is causing the crashes, so it's probably incompatible with a mod in my load order. I tried reinstalling it, moving it up and down in my load order (I started new games, of course). So now I have a save just after helgen without Immersive armors enabled and it's a perfect example. I can load the save, play and it's perfectly fine with out IA. If i enable IA and then load the save it works fine, the "Immersive Armors Configuration message" shows up and I can customize the mod in the MCM. However, if I save AFTER enabling IA and the try to load the save, Skyrim crashes to dektop.

 

I was wondering if Immersive Armors is somehow incompatible with one of the few SexLab mods I have installed, though IA is one of the most endorsed mods ever, so it's likely I've made a mistake while installing or something like that. And honestly, I'm too ashamed to post this on the nexus considering the mods I have installed.

It may not be IA as such but more a case of it being the straw that broke the camel's back. IA is a big mod and you already have a lot of big mods in there.

 

You have a load order that is remarkably alphabetical.

 

You have lots of mods which duplicate what other mods are doing.

 

You have lots of mods which require patches.

 

You have lots of mods which I have never heard of before.

 

You have several mods using HDT.

 

You have quite few mods which are old and outdated.

 

In short, that load order is a mess of problems waiting to occur. You could half that list and have a more stable game which offered more.

It's a bit more sophisticated than it looks. A few of the mods might look they duplicate certain functions, but I think I have them sorted out, For example, I use True Storms for the interior rain sound while I use Wonders of Weather for it's other function. I also disabled the combat rape thing in cursed loot because I have Defeat.

Don't know what's up with the alphabetical load order, I used Loot, mostly and dragged a few mods around manually, so this may be coincidence.

I have used Dual Sheath Redux since I have started to play Skyrim. I guess I know it could cause problems, but it never has and the problem occured before I added PerkusMaximus to my load order.

As for the outdated mods, don't really know what you mean, other than ZaZ and I'll take the display model, and I want to use the older versions there.

You say you have 256 plug-ins yet the hard coded limit is 255. Most people advise not going above 253 and to keep it well below that if at all possible.

I said I currently have 256 ESPs because I have recently downloaded a mod and haven't figured out which one to remove yet. I said this because I posted my plugin list, thinking mybe people would get confused by the number. Of course I wasn't able to start my game during that time.

 

I use Skyrim HD2K, it doesn't have an ESP.

 

Will take a look at the Modders patch, though I think there was a reason I added it. I've forgotten about it though. I'll drop it probably, thanks.

 

I remember testing Project Optimization and it actually does give me a performance boost, though I downloaded it on my old computer so I could probably drop it now, will look into it

 

I know EtaC exists and it's supposed to be pretty good but until now I was pretty satisfied with TAVE so there was no reason to drop it. I*ll take a look at EtaC, thank you for the recommendation.

Now I know the weather mods seem a bit much but if you take a good look at them they work great together. The lesser important ones like Wonders of Weather are on light mode and I use them for specific functions. Windful Skyrim has almost no performance impact. It purely changes visuals and doesn't add new weathers or shit like that. It's the same with Obsidian Mountain Fogs. The Whiterun Tundra looks awesome with all of these combined. I used a few of these mods before, but in general I use Revenant ENB and the recommended stuff there.

Now, onto Perkus Maximus. It's true, it needs a lot of ESPs. To clarify: The Wintermyst thing isn't a Patch for Wintermyst, but an actual expansion. It sais in the installer that you do not need the actual Wintermyst mod for it. It adds a few things from that mod and was made to fit with Perkus Maximus. Same with the Combat Plus expansion. It just adds the stamina and health system of Combat Plus and you don't need the actual mod. I've taken a look at Ordinator and it seems to me it just changes perks without a lot of impact on the actual difficulty and style of combat. Perkus Maximus is much more than that. For me it is Combat, Perk and Combat AI Overhaul in one. I won't argue which mod is better but I won't drop this mod unless I absolutely have to. After playing with this mod and modded armors and weapons I don't wanna go back to regular perk or combat overhauls.

 

Don't really know what you mean there. I installed the Audio Overhaul and in the installer you can install certain patches for mods you have. It never sais anything about requiring anything else.

 

I will admit I don't really know what Realistic Ragdolls does if XPMSE has that functionality aswell, though a few modlists still have it, just installed and loaded before XPMSE. Not sure about that. I'll take a look.

Question: Could it be possible that not creating a bashed patch could be the reason for the crashes? I mean JSwords, Cloaks of Skyrim and Winter is coming are spread through the leveled Lists by CCOR, while armorwise I have the book of UUNP and well, Immersive Armors spreading their stuff.

ETaC and JK's Skyrim are both good and as I said cover more settlements than what you currently have. The main difference is that ETaC adds lots of trees and plants which I don't want so I use JK's Skryrim Lite at the moment.

 

Your ENB and its weather mod requirements are one thing but if it still doesn't look quite like you want you should tweak the ENB not pile on more weather mods. Just means more stuff for the game to load and more stuff which just gets overwritten.

I only started using an ENB about a month ago and after trying out various examples I chose one which used the lighting mod I was already using (Relighting Skyrim). Looks good and no performance hit and no extra mods taking up slots I can use for mods I do want.

 

I'm the opposite of you with regard weather - I have Summer Edition installed so it is summer all the time. No rain, snow or blizzards.

Summer Edition and the ENB do a good enough job of water that I don't have any water mods.

 

Yes, Ordinator is just a skill overhaul mod. I use Revenge of the Enemies and possibly a couple more mods to beef up the opposition. Others use Wildcat but I've never tried it.

 

Might just be me getting my wires crossed with AOS and the patches. I use both AOS and IS Compendium but I don't need any patches for either.

 

I used IA until fairly recently. I found that every time I started a new game I was spending ages in the MCN deselecting items I didn't want in the game. There are some great armours in there but you can only wear so many in one game.

 

I'll stick by my initial analysis in my first post - that IA may just have been the tipping point. Your game is having to work its balls off every time it loads and every time it does an area transition, etc.

 

I have some big mods in my load - OBIS Bandits, War Zones, 3DNPC, etc. I don't have any big quest mods or big textures. My game is not running at its max all the time. Sometimes circumstances will force it to the limit but they are rare and of short duration.
