As a young boy, I used to look up to Dr. Racheal Demmings as our Overseer of Vault 76.  Now I can't sake the feeling she was lying out of her ass.  What the fuck?  We're to reclaim not one but three functional nuclear silos scattered who knows where in what's left of West Virginia.  I'm glad she left recordings for her objectives otherwise we wouldn't be able to piece together the shit-show between the Responders, the Brotherhood of Steel and the Raider Clans and how they fell to the Scorched.  Second, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Vault-Tec knew something like the Scorchbeasts and the Scorched was going to happen.  They didn't know how bad it was going to be or how the computer files in Demmings' office were purged.  I have this feeling that we are the sacrificial lambs walking to the alter of science..., and all the knowledge we have won't stop us from having our throats slit. 

I mean look at West Virginia.  Out of six vaults, only three remained in operation.  Vault 51 remains as pristine as it was 25 years after its discovery and in the current years serves as a Sister Vault for Vault 76.  It handles the bulk of traders, mercenaries, and immigrants coming out of the Western side of the old American Coast.  Some unconfirmed have revealed the locations of not one, but four vaults: Vaults 04, 31, 32, and 33.   Although a derelict for some length of time, Vault 76 became a mercantile hub of sorts.  The Responders managed to turn the Forest region of Eastern Appalachia hub of sorts and a secured base of operations for the Responders.  Vault 94 and Vault 96 served as canon fodder for the Corporate Heads of Vault-Tec.  These is the only word I can use.  Vault 63 and Vault 94 were considered lost causes.  The Brotherhood of Steel entered Vault 94 and purged it of all  mutants and other aberrations then used it to store the region's radioactive and bio-hazardous waste products.  It was sealed and its outer shed was scrapped and the entrance remains under surveillance of the Responders to this very day.  Some 50 years ago as I laid in cryogenic suspension, Vault 63 and it's weather manipulation technology was seized after the original inhabitants went feral.  Once the Brotherhood and not to mention several mercenary companies were done eliminating its nesting aberrations, the equipment in that region was salvaged or dismantled.  What couldn't be collected was then reduced to scrap.  The Southern region of West Virginia is as pristine as it was before the third world war.  Today it serves and recreational center for the Brotherhood, Foundation, and the thriving population of West Virginia with clean uncontaminated water, air, and soil.  perfect for farming and ranching, even if the Brahmin are two-headed
