The next morning Ephedrina washes the filth of her body once more. She still doesn't feel clean.

 

It's clear to her now. She can't borrow money from Gascayn again. It's a slippery slide. At first it was coated with honey, but the honey is gone. Now he's laughing openly in her face as he fucks her. But she's not giving up.

But she knows he'd just push her deeper into his grasp. If she stops fighting she might lose herself to him utterly.

 

So on she goes. Across the lake. Back to Goldenglow. Naked.

 

 

She retraces her step through the abandoned cellar. Once inside she retrieves her lockpicks, hidden in a small pouch inside her body.

 

Is this who she is now she wonders. She tries to ignore the physical stimulation from the friction from the bag. But she didn't have a choice, not really. If the Riften guards had searched her and taken her lockpicks it would've been a disaster.

Slowly she works her way through the Estate until, finally, she finds what she's here for.

Once back, Ephedrina sells what she's stolen and pays down some of her debt with Gascayn. She even buys out of a deal or two before she collects her reward.

 

Massive waves of relief washes through her body as she realizes she's free of Goldenglow. Even though she doesn't particularly want to fuck Brynjolf if feels incredibly good. It's a release in more way than one.

 

 

Gascayn too rewards her. It's a more humiliating fuck, just the way he likes it, in full view of everyone. He makes her beg him to fuck him. He makes her plead for permission to climax. Ephedrina doesn't resist. She's saving her strength for later, for when money and debt and freedom is at stake. Some of the people at the Ragged Flagon watch and laugh, amused by the show. Others only pay half-hearted attention, absorbed in more interesting matters. Ephedrina is sore and exhausted, but she feels like she's digging up. She has few deals with Gascayn, and she owes less money. If this keeps going... maybe... maybe she'll be alright. She'll just have to hang on, do her best, and... not break.
