So many (wonderful) things happened in last two weeks but I bring you only few ones from my Croatian diary. I will start with incident of the man in the Hotel bar who was extremely cheeky toward our waitress calling her names when she slipped and intentionally spilt the drink on his pants. Although she apologized and said that she will cover the damage, the man didn’t stop to insult her. Our security guard tried to calm him. My Prince, not knowing what is happening in the bar, invited us (me, my Ivy, Fran and Lidija) to the bar wanting to treat us with drink. When we entered in the bar my Prince asked our security guard what is happening. He told him and my Prince apologized to the man saying that he’ll get a new drink on the house and if his pants are damaged, Hotel will pay a new one. Well, politeness of my Prince “encouraged” the man to be more verbally aggressive. Seeing that civilized conversation doesn’t work my Prince asked him to apologize to our waitress and leave the hotel. The man didn’t want to. Then my Prince simply punched him in the face knocking him down. The man couldn’t get up by himself so our security guard helped him to stand on his feet. My Prince demanded apology to our waitress. The man apologized this time and he left Hotel. The reason why my Prince interfered although there was security guard in the bar, you already know why; he can’t stand primitive and uncivilized behaving especially toward women (our waitress).

During their illness (children flu), our children cried a lot and they constantly needed our attention. It is interesting that although they love their grandparents they didn’t want them to nurse them when we were around. They wanted us. Of course, Mikey wanted his daddy to take care for him and Precious wanted me. Both of us held them in our arms and we did all we can to make their pain easer. Did we find a time for each other during that period? Naturally! When they recovered we finally relieved and we used every opportunity to have sex and get some sleep for we were exhausted.

You should see Mikey when we started to decorate our house and artificial Christmas tree. He was very happy. He clapped hands and ran around screaming in joy. Very touching moment was when he sat under the tree before bed time and watched the lights and tree decorations. My Prince also sat down and took him into his lap. He constantly kissed the top of his head talking about most beautiful Christmas tree decorations to him. Mikey pointed his favorite ones and they talked about them. They were soooo cute. Since that night my Prince and Mikey sat under Christmas tree and watched the lights and the tree together. My Prince told us that his dad use to sit under Christmas tree for hours when he was a child in the orphanage and enjoy in the tree and decorations. He was named a Christmas tree guardian. Among other things they had sugar candies wrapped in different shiny colors as decoration. Since many children ate them, he had to “protect” the tree during the day. And he loved his job for it gave him more time to read and fantasize under the tree. I think Mikey is like his grandpa; he simply loves it.

We started with cooking preparations. Every single member of our family have some responsibility. The main ones fell on my mom and Zdenka for they know the best how to make traditional Christmas meals. Our dads and available guys will assist them. We will do sauces, salads and two cakes. My Prince will make his caramel candies with Mikey. Nobody else will have access to the kitchen when they will make them for it is a family secret that goes from a father to a son. In the case that father have no son but daughter, than she is a father’s recipe inheritor. I’m telling you the truth: everyone who ate his caramels said that they never ate better ones in their entire life.

One more thing before closing this diary. When Antonio and *Silvano (*Ano as my son Mikey calls him) recovered they joined us for family morning coffee. When they arrived Mikey joyfully ran toward Antonio shouting: ujo Nio!!! Ujo Nio!!! (ujo Nio=ujače Antonio=uncle Antonio. Mikey shortened his name too). I’m sure I saw tears of gladness and joy in his eyes while taking him into his arms and kissing his cheek. Of course, Mikey had to “check” Antonio’s pockets for his gift. When he found it, he said: *Ala (*Ala=Hvala=Thanks) and kissed him on the cheek. When Antonio took Precious into his arms, she cooed loudly waving her hands being happy to see him. Yes, Antonio loves our children very much and they love them.

Nick and Adriana called us from Ireland. They miss us very much. We miss them too. They might come in visit next summer if all is fine.

OK, now, since I won’t be able to see you until sometime in January I give you our Christmas card. Many hugs and kisses.
