Mesh problem

Recommended Posts

I have a female armor mesh that is weighted to cbbe. It is ported from FNV.

The armor looks fine in CK but is invisible in game.

I have no idea anymore what could be the cause of the problem..

Posting the mesh for download here, i hope someone can help me with this

Thank you all for help. I probably would have not figured that one out by myself..

As far as i understand it has the cbbe skeleton?

No, only the body is, the clothes are not skinned at all.

It needs to be rigged in max, blender or mesh rigger.

This. You can also try loading it in Outfit Studio and "Copy Bone Weights" from a reference body. In theory that should create the skin instances for you.

You do not need to have a BSDismemberSkinInstance for a item you do however need to make sure it is using the correct slot in the CK (creation kit). The panda outfit that I converted awhile back doesn't have BSDismemberSkinInstance but in the Ck the slot is set for calves for legwarmers the PandaLegwarmersAA armor addon is set at calve slot races are selected for it and it is added to model.

The leg warmers have NiTriShapeData NiSkinInstance NiSkinData NiSkinPartition BSLightingShaderProperty and BSShaderTextureSet.

While your items only have NiTriShapeData BSLightingShaderProperty and BSShaderTextureSet. Not sure if that is the reason or not.

Thank you alot, that cleared things out a bit.

When i converted and weighted the clothes to cbbe i also copied the bone weights as instructed by the OS Tutorial "Anything to cbbe"

hmm, might i use this thread as well? not to clutter the forums x)

I'm also having mesh trouble, it looks ok in nifscope/ck, but all distorted ingame
I would greatly appreciate if someone more experienced looked into it and explained to me what's wrong

my guess is that something went wrong when i merged NiTriShapes for optimization, but i have no idea what. it looks ok with all separate parts

been following this tutorial: http://bertscktutorial.ucoz.com/index/merged_mesh_nifs/0-33

thanks in advance
