Recommended Posts

I'm interested for DOA5 Race mod, they have Good skin for Subsurface Scattering effect by ENB...
Here's the screenshot Comparison between Vanilla Race and DOA Race....

I'm using Fair Skin mod...
But dunno what this DOA5 Race mod use...
I know I can take specular texture from it, but it's not compatible for Head/Face part...

The mod uses a custom skin. There is no head texture available as the faces are individually textured. It looks like a FSC derivative prima facie, with the colour tint on the diffuse map changed to a golden yellow and the subsurface texture substantially brightened. If you are handy with GIMP it should be a simple matter to make your own.

Have any guide/tutorial to do that ??

Umm, no not really. At least Google isn't helpful in this case.

Open up GIMP after installation and the required .dds plugin. You can use recolour on the xxxbody_1.dds to get the colour tint you want. The mod does not come with a separate subsurface map, it uses the default female subsurface (I think, I don't have it installed at the moment).

Here is a comparison of FSC to DOA skin. As you can see most of the work is done at the level of the tint file, with some additional detail in the chest and belly area of the normal map.

you search in the wrong place...

that texture is too bright for skyrim, but it will turn black at night like any other texture (to get it the same as mature or fair skin, you remove lumonisity from the dds)

here's an old screen of the body that wasn't turning black at night

171102064519968116.jpg

it's black without light now

open that doa femalebody.nif

open you femalebody.nif

compare the bslighting

there should be something in emissive color in the doa nif

and it's that the night difference between those 2 nifs (same stuff as the vampire eyes, it's an emissive color that too)

there's more than one doa 5 race mod

have the one with the texture you have screen, if it's that

171102090933567645.jpg

to make that similar to it

171102091001467813.jpg

fusion

171102091001760518.jpg

but you also fusion seams, or stuff you may not want

you want more whatever color that is on the texture?

171102090913462949.jpg

fusion with a color

171102090955315227.jpg

you can mess with that stuff too

17110209093370237.jpg

171102090948920501.jpg

if that's what he want to do

subsurface scattering? don't know what that is

specular? it's the black&white texture for wet or goose bump look, no idea why he talk about that

on screen 2 body don't get darkened when no light, it's that the difference i see between those screens (can be done with emissive color, it's that for khajiits eyes, vampire eyes, the stuff you can see without light)

I just tested it and you're right. But keep in mind that will work only on the nif that you edited, which means that the mods that came with their own body mesh (which almost every mod) attached to the armor/clothes won't show the changes that you did to the main body mesh. So you will have to actually edit the mesh of every armor/clothes mod you want to show these changes.

not because they do it like that you have to mimick them

171103050519672388.jpg

you have 50 npcs

10 size 100, 10 size 0, 20 size 10-90 with something body

that's 30 something_0 and something_1 in your ram from those armors, that are the same

don't worry, it's the same with your armored dog, there isn't skinnakeddog in the armor armoreddog

and there isn't skinnakeddraugr in draugrarmor1, draugrarmor2...

and there isn't...

not because the engine is old the performances sucks, it's because there's no optimisation

here's bethesda "optimisation"

171103081739955980.jpg

was just deleting the trap2,3,4,5,6 since no lower damage for lower levels

dragonborn activator use that trap too -> renumber to skyrim activator -> dlc2script rename to skyrimscript to compare

171103083514778704.jpg

euh......

and let's forget requiem, it's nice the deleted reduced damage for low levels, but

171104014338139396.jpg

171104014337591835.jpg

171104014343898424.jpg

17110401434558423.jpg

why not get rid of the useless spells, magic effects, whatever, and the conditions that are now useless

Thank you all for your help guys...
I just wanna make clear... That body mesh/nif file is same body...
At first I thought that's Body Mesh, then I check DOA5.rar files, there's no Mesh/NIF body file in it... Just Face,Armor,Weapon and Hair mesh...
I think I agree with Paudan, I think it's Base/Specular/Normal texture that make's SSS effect looks much more Clear at this DOA mods...
Problem is How to make do that...
Here's the file body texture filename from DOA5 mods...

Wish I can upload it up.. It's pretty huge size...
blankdetailmap.dds
DOAfemalebody.dds

DOAfemalehand.dds

DOAfemalehead_sk.dds

femalebody_1_msn.dds

femalebody_1_s.dds

femalehands_1_msn.dds

femalehands_1_s.dds

I dunno is it _msn/_s that made their texture shows SSS so much...
For anyone who don't know Subsurface Scattering is...
Here's some image from google...
220px-Skin_Subsurface_Scattering.jpg

1698744cef46f09e0489e1faf06aef0a.jpg

It's make skin transparent glow on source light behind the object...

That's why I love this skin mods that show's pretty good/clear of this effect...
