[Request] NCR Ranger Veteran Armor CBBE Conversion

Recommended Posts

Requesting someone who isn't me (because I don't know what I am doing or I am doing something wrong), to help me convert the NCR Veteran Ranger and Riot Armor in this mod HERE to CBBE.

Willing to throw a 20$ bounty on it if possible as its been driving me insane.

EDIT:

Here is my attempt after unpacking the BA2. As you can see the Mesh shows up but the Textures don't.

I guess it because original textures are packed in BA2. You should unpack it first for correct display.

Or you can add .BA2 to BodySlide manually - open BS, click settings, then mark this archive in the lowest section.

BodySlide works only with pre-defined archives or unpacked textures.

The attached image is after I unpacked it as I couldn't find the necessary files for outfit studio.

Yes

Strange. In "Data Files" section files of this armor stay at correct places.

Well, maybe author of this armor used "texture sets" instead of directly set textures in .nif files.

Sadly, but I can't check this because I don't have installed F4 for now.

Try to look directly in nif files of this armor and search for textures there.

In skyrim texture block looks like this

In F4 it should be similar.

And you need NifScope 2.0 for this.

Well, looks like author don't set textures in .nif. as I said.

You tried to save that you made (i.e. conversion) and check how it looks ingame?

And, BTW, you can also check this tread

F4 also have .BGSM - material files which also contains paths to textures.

Everything looks right with the file paths, they go where they are supposed to and have files with the right names.  But when I load in and try to put the outfit on my female test character the game instantly crashes or stalls and crashes.

Again, not sure what I am doing and I think I picked a hard mod to convert.

EDIT:

Just to clarify, I have created a completely clean fallout 4 install to test this with.  The only mods installed are the NCR Ranger armor and CBBE.

What I have done so far:

Extracted files and removed original mod, replaced with extracted version.  When I try to put the outfit on I crash immediately.
