When gagged - Continuously stuck in "mmph"

Shortly put; whenever I go up to an NPC whilst wearing a gag I get three slightly varying "mmph" dialogue options after eachother. At the third one, the NPC says something along the lines of "I think I understand what you are trying to say". Usually, this should remove the gagged effect and make it possible to talk to the NPC and possibly receive help to remove it. Instead of this, a fourth "Mph" option appears which causes no response to come from the NPC. After this I only have the same "mph" option.

My guess is devious devices gags, i've never tried it but it's really old... maybe not compatible anymore.

Thank you so much. I had been going through several settings and mods, and for some reason thought it couldn't be Devious Devices Gags+, problem was fixed by simply removing it from my modlist.
