Hello, if you use the extra detail overlays found in skin details, they should stay put forever after you select them. I say should, however, because often times TS4 likes to change the nude/bathing states of sims for absolutely no reason.

From what I understand, the compatibility needs to work from the other way - the RTBP mod needs to be edited to work with Eve. There's nothing I can do from my end

You can use anything. EveV8.2 works via body presets found in CAS. As long as your Sim is using that shape, any clothes will work.

The boob shape is slightly different and the nipples are more 3D, so only piercings made to specifically use with this mod will work.
