Freezing or crashing when getting near a town.

I just reinstalled skyrim and loaded some mods. It keeps freezing and crashing when I get near a town. When I do Alt start mod and start say like a inn inside a town, I'm fine. Once I leave It crashes. Or once i get close to one from the wild.

I narrowed down and ultimately solved similar freezes and CTDs using Skyrim Performance Monitor.  Knowing how much available video memory I had (3g), I learned that every time I neared (within 50k) of 3g I crashed.  I fixed it by reducing texture sizes and adjusting memory settings in Crash Fixes.  Without the performance monitor I would have never found the source of the problem except by dumb luck.

 

Hope this helps, and it should go without saying that *everything* depends upon having a solid mod build, correctly sorted with merged and bashed patches.

You need 2 things, enbboost available on the nexus and you need to make a skse ini file with the memory allocation tweaks. Google the step wiki for a guide.

How do you go about doing that, Im trying what the other person suggested right now. I will do this if it still fails.
