Request: faciton war mod (or mass NPC mod)

I was wondering if anyone knew of any mods that add a bunch of NPCs (preferably male) to the game with factions that fight each other? I know of mods like Tamriel Travelers, Oblivion Crisis, and Uruk-Hai Raiding Parties, but there's not really a guarantee they'll fight each other, and it won't be all the time.

Ideally, the mod would have two or more factions that constantly fight each other.

I'm quite a fan of large scale battles myself so I have found a few that are good.

1. Oblivion Kvatch Battle : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30089

Allows you to fight in the battle of kvatch not as the hero but as a regular soldier. You start with a loadout and you continue to fight waves and waves of dremora and daedra. The enemies and allies keep respawning so it's a never ending battle (kind of like Halo's firefight :D)

2. Famous Battles of Cyrodiil: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39560

You can relive battles of the past that shaped Tamriel's history. Pretty cool mod.

3. Battle between Two Forts: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38512

Adds two forts to the game. They are positioned near anvil. Each fort is occupied by a faction and these two factions are at war with each other. You can join either side and try to turn the favor of the battle or just watch as there is always some action going on.

4. Cyrodiil vs Hammerfell-The Battle At Beldaburo : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30772

Adds an army of about 34 high level fighters near the Ayleid Ruin of Beldaburo. They are your opposing force. In order to fight this battle you are going to need to muster up an army of your own (no quest, just gather a good amount of good companions) and then you fight them. The enemies level with your character so you're in for a serious fight. If your comp is old try turning off the grass to reduce lag. It's a great mod.

5. Oblivion Wars Episode 1 Battle For Cheydinhal : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15244

An army of 100 zombies has enter Cheydinhal and you must help the guard kill them all. Really cool knowing that they are battles all over the city.

6. Origins Of War : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29603

For those who thought that the Oblivion Invasion was lame. It turns the world into chaos as civilians have gone into hiding and the remaining forces must fend of daedra and other unfriendly forces.

7. Goblin War Party : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2915

Improves on the Goblin war aspect of the game. Now you can start real goblin wars.

8. Goblin War on the Imperial City Part 1, 2, and 3. (search on nexus god damnit)

Goblins are invading the imperial city in certain places and you have to help the guards stop them.

9. Daedric Wargames : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12935

One of the few tactical war mods, you can now command Sheogorath's forces against Mehrunes Dagon where you don't serve as only a mere soldier, but an army general.

10. Bruma War : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20694

Adds two armies that fight each other in Bruma County.

11. Big Battle v_2-WAR : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21259

Adds an army of bandits that fights an army of Orc warriors.

12. Arena eternal War : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15481

Adds an arena where 24 combatants fight in a never ending battle. WARNING: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE SHIVERING ISLES, IF IT IS ACTIVATED, IT WILL CRASH YOUR GAME

13. Cyrodiil Crysis (lol spelling) : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19219

Adds armies of certain enemies at different towns in Cyrodiil. An army of Hircine Worshippers lay siege to Bruma, an army of Goblins are attacking Bravil etc.

14. Daedric Invasions : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26030

Daedra have invaded three areas and you have to stop them (or not).

15. Invasion of sewer filth : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39465

A mod not to be taken seriously, the Imperial City is now under attack by a horde of mutated Mudcrabs and other sewer creatures!

16. LC Uruks Hai Invasion : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39639

Hordes of Uruk-Hai are attacking Bruma and unless you help, Bruma may be doomed.

17. Vlruxan Invasion : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19646

Adds an army of about 50 invaders to the Waterfront. (Haven't tried much yet, not sure if it's a quest mod).

18. Market District Invasion : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19352

Adds a ton of hostile creatures to the market district that you and the guard must fight.

19. Enhanced Daedric Invasion : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9858

Probably the most lore-friendly war mod yet, it makes the Daedric Invasion feel much more like an ongoing threat than what it was before. Groups of guards and legionnaires may now go into Oblivion gates to try and destroy them. Armies of daedra have the possibility of invading cities, pressing more and more at the player to try and stop them. It's really a great mod.

20. BladeSong : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32426

While it is a huge romance and adventure mod, somewhere into the story, you fight a huge scale battle on an open field (see the screen shots)

Okay, those are all of the battle mods that I know about. Of course you'll need one more thing before you can play these mods at their best.

Mass Ai : http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8158

This allows more actors and NPC's into combat at once. The default is 20, but by activating this mod, you can have 30, 40, or 50 actors fight at once in a battle!

ENJOY!

Thank you a whole bunch! I already tried the Battle Between Two Forts mod, but it seems to have some issues. Also, I just use Bashed Patch to increase the number of active and combat actors allowed.

If people find any more, post them here please!

No problem! Are you using the Roads and Bridges mod? The two forts mod has a patch that makes the two mods more compatible.

Also, could you give me a link to the bashed patch?

No, I'm not using that Roads and Bridges, just Battle Between Two Forts. I think the AI needs some tuning as well as the scripting. Unfortunately, I can't link you to the Bashed Patch. You have to make it yourself using Wrye Bash.

I just tried out Big Battle, and unfortunately v2 is not working. v1 was pretty cool, though.

By the way, would you happen to have any suggestions regarding choosing either Enhanced Daedric Invasion and Oblivion Crisis? To my understanding they do similar things.

Using both wouldn't conflict. As Oblivion Crisis just adds random daedra to the cities of the world. Enhanced Daedric Invasion is a much more quest driven and serious mod. It has a lot more features and is really great when working., it can really devastate the world later on.

I am about to try Oblivion Crisis myself so I don't have any input there. EDI however I have been playing ever since it came out. Be real careful when you set the options. I maxed out the daedra attackers numbers and frequently it killed off all but the essential NPC's in several cities. Damn good thing I had a number of companions with me or I would have been toast as well. I also added a mod named:

Complete Dremora Pack (link below).

http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=38879

I did modify it by making all new dremora churls female.........works great with lovers........

By the time I get to the sigilium sanguis chamber my male pc is oversexed and ready to "go home and rest". Ha Ha Ha

Oh and concerning EDI......get to the gates as quickly as they open. If you ignore them for a long while they can spawn a terrifying number of attackers. I had to fight several running battles (emphasis on me running away and awkwardly firing arrows along the way to thin out the attackers).

Oh wow. Speaking of en mass, won't it cripple the Video card RAM. with all the soldiers, spell visual and all voice + SFX asset being used at a time on the war?

That waterfront war mod use to gave me CTD & BSOD.

Yes, you guess it: the Water reflection and the virux pirate mob...and the whole rape scene X_X;

My frame rate takes a massive beating at the waterfront. It think it is due to Better cities in combo with the cojillion other mods I am running (order of virtuous blood and others effect this area). So long story short I have to pass on any additional mods in close proximity to the waterfront. Wryebash solves a multitude of problems but is not a miracle cure!

My only slow down was on a oblivion gate I ignored while I went to the shivering isles. Apparently completing all of the shivering isles quests caused enough time to pass that 50 deadric warriors mobilized at the gate and as soon as I got close they made a bee line for Bravil. Luckily I had brought 4 companions with me and was able to stop the invasion inside the castle keep saving the count. All but the essential NPC's of Bravil perished (including all guards but the counts bodyguard).

Awesome, sometimes it baffles me on how Bethesda failed so hard at creating a true world threat where a group of random modders had to create it to fix the underwhelming daedric invasion presented in the vanilla game.
