Looking to get started with Oblivion

I feel I'm done with Skyrim for now, having invested hundreds of hours, played every worthwhile mod, etc. All I do nowadays is check like 20 different modding sites for new outfits, then go ingame to try them on, and that's it for the day, lol.

So yeah, I'd like to try out Oblivion, having never played it. Problem is, there are WAY too many mods for Oblivion, and I have no idea where to start. So I'm looking for advice. Any mods you deem essential (gameplay, graphics, all of it), any mods to create a nice looking character (I will be playing a female)... Just tell me anything :3

If possible, I'd like my character to look like Metalhed13's characters. Just for reference's sake.

This thread is more or less the same request as yours and should contain at least some of the information you are looking for: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=8998

Looked through it... It doesn't really provide anything gameplay-related though. It also doesn't mention anything about creating a pretty character.

I should probably state this just to be clear' date=' I am [i']not[/i] just looking for adult mods, I'm looking for good mods in general.

Well good is relative to the person.

You are going to have to get a lot more specific to get useful info.

One thing you can do is visit the nexus and look at the top fifty mods in both the adult and non adult categories. This will help narrow your search and perhaps provide more specific topics for you to ask for.

Another good thing to read on mods: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=30

Glance through post one and then concentrate on post 2.

As to beautification: well again beauty means different things to different folks but the two most popular are Xeo (which is a replacer - meaning it replaces vanilla npc's) and MBP (modular beautiful people - it is a non-replacer by default - meaning it does not change vanilla npc's but rather is just a resource for other plugins). MBP does have a separate plugin that can make it behave as a replacer and it can be found in the non adult oblivion section.

Xeo thread: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=13

MBP thread: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=1602

You can actually install both Xeo and MBP if you use XeoSP++.

There are of course many more beautification plugins. Some you can find here but most are at the nexus.

There are also tutorials on how to create beautiful PC's in the general tutorial section.

Cheers,

Greg
