ShadeAnimator Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 I'm thinking about using nVidia's volumetric rays not only in their vault 1080, but in the whole game. From what I can see in CK, I just have to change light type... I wonder, is it possible to somehow quickly edit all base light types in the game? Say, changing properties of all industrial lights or something like that. THrough CK or with a script? So mostly talking about directional lights of course.
Content Consumer Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 It shouldn't be too hard. I should start by saying that I've never actually opened the CK for Fallout 4, but if it's anything like Skyrim, what you want will be under WorldObjects / Light and then you can change almost anything about it. Highlighted here is Sovngarde Blue light, but I guess you'd be looking for "construction light" or something.
Guest Posted September 8, 2016 Posted September 8, 2016 Not really easy if they are directional. Because the direction cannot be calculated with ease. Changing the type is technically possible by writing a script in Fo4Edit. But in case it is directional, I have no clues of to provide the orientation.
ShadeAnimator Posted September 8, 2016 Author Posted September 8, 2016 There is no need to do anything with orientation. It's just about changing whatever is currently set in "God rays" parameter (None or some other type of godrays) to one of Nvidia's godrays, and it works. Thanks for answers.
