thatTESguy Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 Great color scheme. Like it. Â For ndo 2, it's basically a set of utilities that work with photoshop. In your case, it would be great for adding detail to your high poly normals, but it can also be used to make normals from scratch (say, from a diffuse texture). It uses a layer-based method which should be familiar, and simply lets you paint whatever details you want on the normal. Specular generation is also automatic from the normal itself. Â My use is mostly upsampling low-poly models from ports to ridiculous levels (i.e Storm wings: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=6879 or Diablo: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=8732) since I can't model worth ****. But it also works well for painting detail (scratches, etc) that you don't want to model. Â Sample:
Cipherof3vil Posted July 21, 2012 Posted July 21, 2012 That looks fantastic ^~^ Just... a touch bright, honestly. I'd use it in a heartbeat without really thinking otherwise if it was darker, closer to black for the grey with an almost blood red (Older blood, when it starts to turn dark).
thatTESguy Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Brightness is due to (lack of) speculars. Those really make a difference if used properly.
FallenJudgement Posted August 3, 2012 Author Posted August 3, 2012 Okay here long overdue update, almost finish hopefully couple more days. In-game there is some high specular spots. But this mostly to show the diffused and normals. Â Here what its looking like so far: Â Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 1.03 Â Â Â Â Â
dronmk2 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Please tell me when the planned release? P.S. Sorry for my English, I use Google translator.
FallenJudgement Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 It wasn't necessarily abandoned, I just didn't have time to finish it. When I did have time to finish it, I figured it would have be long forgotten. Though this doesn't seem to be the case. Also there are couple bugs with it. I could fix them but It be hard to support fixes after release due college and other stuff. Â Since people still seem interested in it, I'll do my best wrap it up and release when I can.
jWeo Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 I'd love to see a Fallout New Vegas version of this armor too, if you can find the time to make one. It looks great!
Kaleeon Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Good FONV alternative can be found here: Â http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35271 Â Looks like this: Â Â
Hotpixels Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 I'm pretty excited for you to finish this mod. I really like the boots and hopefully they will be separate equip.
Lexi SubZero Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 Good FONV alternative can be found here: Â http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/35271 Â Looks like this: Â Â Â Hmm. I'd say the Asuka armors from DollHouse are more like this one. http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/44662 Â Â
sysmic Posted November 14, 2012 Posted November 14, 2012 I can't wait to see this mod in action. Looks amazing! In my opinion, it has the quality of a Zerofrost armor!
thatTESguy Posted November 16, 2012 Posted November 16, 2012 If you only have texture work/rigging tweaks left, I can help with that. Shoot me a PM. I have nDo 2/Photoshop running as well as max.
Hotpixels Posted December 13, 2012 Posted December 13, 2012 It's been a good, long while since we've heard anything. How's the project coming along?
OmniOmega Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 So... was this mod abandoned or...? FallenJudgement did say that they were busy with college so all we can really do is be patient and wait.
LilSelena Posted April 28, 2013 Posted April 28, 2013 Take all the time you need Fallen It's not like anyone is paying you to do this, you're creating an armor from the kindness of your heart. However, I'll admit I've been anticipating this mod too but try to sacrifice as little as you can to make this happen. I hope you're doing well.
