eugenenelson2011
Did anyone else's FPS tank in the last update to the game? I had to download a launcher previous to fix this. Link to comment
Rdawgx
My FPS tanks during night in public places. Never happened before the update... I'm getting downwards of 20 frames per second! Before that I would get 60+ all the time! Link to comment
eugenenelson2011
Ive been getting 60+ easily with this game, only 60 because I have it limited. But now Im getting 20fps in Sanctuary and downtown Boston. Im like wtf right now. Link to comment

ralfetas
I got some small fps drop after the update too, don't know how much, but sometimes i am seeing some tear in the screen that i don't have before... Link to comment
SquigglySwag
Maybe I'm paranoid, but it feels like my FPS is also slightly lower. In the outskirts of Boston I was getting 30-50 FPS (during a rainstorm), and it felt a little jankier than normal, but I don't normally put my FPS counter on so maybe it only felt worse because I was looking for a problem. Sanctuary was still a smooth 60 FPS though. (however, mine is pretty barren; I don't have any elaborate structures built in this playthrough.) It's a real shame if game updates are not only making a headache for modders, but also just making the game worse for everyone. Is it possible the update changed shadow settings or something? I know if I have high shadows and large dropoff distance in an area with complex geometry my FPS goes sub-30 in a flash. Link to comment
Rdawgx
I tried turning down the shadows to the minimum and it raised my FPS to 25-30 while in downtown Boston. Still not great considering that it used to be 60. Link to comment
ralfetas
I read in bethesda forum that the new nvidia drive (372.54) is causing some problems too, black pipboy screen etc... Link to comment
