Guest GingerTom Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 How many times have I replied to someone's post only to find out afterwards that they changed something with an edit while I was typing my reply up and my post doesn't make sense anymore (I do it too.) And even worse is when they do an edit 30 minutes afterwards and a string of replies from various people have been added in the meantime. Perhaps this could be come a new rule starting next April 1st?
thesapien Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Or you just quote them. That was my first thought. So is anyone else seeing "show conent" instead of "show content" on the button? The hide button reads correct tho.
thesapien Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Ha' date=' ha. That would be too [i']complicated[/i]. Maybe misquote them then?
thesapien Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Notice I edited that one real quick, within seconds of the original! (so as to misquote you, for example)
Guest Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I disagree. Threads that host mods that are a WIP are supposed to be updated by the user. Plus I think that restricting the user even further is not a path Loverslab should take.
Guest GingerTom Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Don't worry The Mad God--I suggested the date of April 1, remember?
Guest Gandalf Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Don't worry The Mad God--I suggested the date of April 1' date=' remember? [/quote'] FAIL!! ROTFL
gregathit Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 An on this note I have some ocean front property that I am selling cheaply in Nebraska.....
thesapien Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Don't worry The Mad God--I suggested the date of April 1' date=' remember? [/quote'] FAIL!! ROTFL Real mature.
gregathit Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 I wasn't talking to you' date='it was fucking joke. [/quote'] Ah, one has to love "horizontal" humor.....unless one is "into" vertical instead.....
Guest GingerTom Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Yes I see the 'nontent' button also. Would you believe I was supposed to be working today?
Guest Gandalf Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 It was a fucking joke from the get-go and he didn't see it.Fail meant that no one seemed to be getting the joke.April 1,april fools?Get it? Some people man.
Guest Gandalf Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Oops i gave it away...guess i could EDIT it out.Get it, EDIT?

Guest Gandalf Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Oh no! Gandalf actually said something almost amusing. Guess I lost the bet. Good at least you got it.Sheeeesh!
thesapien Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Yes I see the 'nontent' button also. Would you believe I was supposed to be working today? I keep thinking it's my eyesight from being on the 'puter too long. test Does it say conent or content?
Guest GingerTom Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 You were right--it's conent. Actually it says 'test'.
thesapien Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 It was a fucking joke from the get-go and he didn't see it.Fail meant that no one seemed to be getting the joke.April 1' date='april fools?Get it? Some people man. [/quote'] Oh, is that what fail means? I'm pretty sure everyone got it the first time. It's a common thing to say amongst the younger crowd, tho now it's "so last year" and even the kids will make fun of each now if another uses it.
Guest Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Wait... I'm confused... Was gandalf directing the joke to me or gingertom?
Guest GingerTom Posted May 29, 2012 Posted May 29, 2012 Unless I'm confused it was directed towards everybody he thought didn't get it. (I know he knows I got it. I think.) A lot of the times when I'm talking to people face-to-face I have to quickly add 'I'm joking' because I say whatever it is in a serious manner (as a joke.)
