Certain NPCs Spawn Without Armor.

Specific NPC types in-game have stopped spawning with armor. They're completely naked, save for their weapons.

 

So far the ones I've discovered in my game are:

 

Captains (Wayfinder from Dawnstar and the captain in Windhelm that isn't Lonely-Gale)

 

Khajiit caravan that has Kharjo in it

 

Silver Hand at Driftshade Refuge (only the ones inside, outside guards are fine)

 

For some reason, none of these NPCs spawned with armor in their inventory AT ALL. I murdered a few out of curiosity and found everything but any clothing. Please help!

Probably a mod or two (maybe inside a patch) are altering the outfits they use.

Try to get the ID of the vanilla outfit they are using.

Then open all the mods you have active with TES5Edit, and find the outfit by ID. And then check if a mod is altering/removing/deleting it.

Update "Clothing and Clutter Fixes".  There was an issue that was causing nudity with various characters.  For me, it seemed limited to the wandering Pilgrim groups added by either the "populated" series or Immersive Patrols.  I updated to the newest release (sometime late last week) and it fixed the issue.
