NPC blotchy face

So I installed Adorable Face from nexus, taking care to backup any meshes/textures it would overwrite.

 

Not liking the results on all NPCs, I decided to uninstall, overwriting its changed files with my backup.

 

But now NPC faces have some issues. See below.

 

 

What file/files did I miss in the restore/uninstall?

Ok, this is weird, I loaded an older save and they're back to normal.

 

I had no clue save files included any of those details.
