Starts game - black screens - crashes

Whenever i start up oblivion, it just black screens and crashes

 

I just recently installed oblivion and followed

 

-Quick install (lovers mod)

to the dot.

 

Yet whenever i load up oblivion it won't open up for me.

 

I installed everything through the OBMM and i installed

"OBSE v0019b or higher, BUFramework, Pluggy" with no problems.

 

Can anyone offer any insight on this? it'd be greatly appreciated

 

EDIT: I also installed "BOSS" but i can't make heads or tails of what its trying to tell me

Although i have a question... or a few questions

 

whats a bash plugin in and whats it mean to bash patch and disable?

EDIT: I read about batch files and learned how to make them now and because of that i now get further into oblivion then before.

 

As in before i loaded it up - black screen - crashes

 

Now its load it up - launches game - "loading screen" - Crashes

Crashes that occur at start up or loading screens are generally due to missing masters (or out of order) or bad/missing ini files. You do have a master out of order as seen below. Switch your mods around in the order I have given you and rebuild your bashed patch - NOTE: when you rebuild your bashed patch MAKE SURE you disable all lovers esp and esm files and then rebuild your bashed patch. If you don't then lovers files could get included in the bashed patch and this can break their scripts (which can cause all kinds of problems).

 

On your other question:

You disable the plugin and then rebuild you bashed patch. If it is mergeable then you just select it from the appropriate place as you are rebuilding you bashed patch and it will then merge that file into the patch. You then leave the mod disabled since it is merged into the bashed patch. DON'T delete the file as you will need it if you have to rebuild your bashed patch in the future.

And i redid the batch file without any .esm/.esp with the words "lover" in it.

 

I load up the game and it flashes "Bethesda Softworks" and crashes still. Am i doing something wrong? maybe with the batch files (i did read the pdf from the download link)

also, from the pdf i learned about cleaning the files. Which i followed the guide on .. what was the name? well it was a wiki about it and cleaned a few files.

If you go back to your boss list and double check things you will see that the USIPS needs to be underneath the UOP shivering isles patch like this:

Manually drag usips to be beneath its master file and you should be fixed. Sorry I didn't see that last go round. The best thing to learn from this is use boss to help you sort your load order and then manually sort the lovers files where they need to go.

As soon as the game finished loading and you get to the title screen then you can exit oblivion and try to start normally with OBSE's exe or OBMM.

Just got back from a small trip. Tried deleting the oblivion.ini file and it worked. Thank you SO SO SO MUCH!
