The Shadows of Xanya (Dark Erotic D&D 3.5 campaign)

I'm looking to start up a dark erotic D&D 3.5 campaign. Something similar in tone and content to Neverwinter Nights modules like A Dance with Rogues, Gladiatrix, Kunoichi, etc. and the modules shared here :P. Sex will be constant and not necessarily consensual (For the PCs, players can and should stop things the moment they become uncomfortable- a list of what to expect is below). 3rd Level Female PCs required, no class restrictions, good or neutral alignment, humans preferred, but half-elves acceptable.

SYNOPSIS:
You were raised on tales of the great heroines of legend. Women like Brina the Bold, who singlehandedly took down the Stonegrinder orc tribe, Elven High Sorceress Kavensiel, who sacrificed herself to stop the Unholy March 200 years ago, and Queen Harvine Southwater, who led the Kingdom of Lanilyth to victory over the Sea Lords. But unless something changes, your life doesn't look like it will turn out nearly as interesting. You've come of age, and your family has decided to cut your education short in lieu of getting you married. Or maybe your tribe was conquered and you were about to be divided up with the other women. Or maybe your faith was going to assign you to monastery duties, so you decided to become an itinerant instead. Whatever your background, it is time to take up your things and head for the port of Gavin's Keep, where opportunity and passage to adventure await.
But the adventuress' life poses its own dangers. There are the conventional ones- horny soldiers, lascivious bandits, and foreign slavers. The wilderness is no better- Orcs, hobgoblins, and their ilk want good breeding stock for their tribes, brutish minotaurs and ogres long for mates, and long dead spirits and vampires desire the touch of warm flesh once again. It doesn't end there, of course- rumors whisper of dragons who take near-human shape to procreate, groves of satyrs whose flutes play maidens right into their laps, and above all the Underdark, with its cruel, patriarchal kingdoms of Drow, repulsive Derro, and worse. Darker rumors say that demons and devils from the outer planes have begun snatching up women to breed an army of half-fiends.
It is a dangerous world, and most adventuresses will find themselves shoved on their back sooner rather than later. But it is still a chance for glory and riches, and it would certainly be better to fall searching the dark corners of creation for treasure than to waste away where you are now. Your destiny is out there- are you ready to find it?
===
Most sex scenes in this campaign will feature one or more of the following, unless a player asks otherwise:
-Rape
-Forced impregnation/Breeding
-Monster sex
-Large, muscly men with big dicks

I will NOT be doing any of the following:
-Futa
-Incest
-Scat/Watersports
-Guro/Torture/etc
-Bestiality
-Anything that remotely even looks like its underage. All NPCs will be 18+, and all PCs should look and act this way too.

We'll set up safewords beforehand. If at any time you get uncomfortable, just PM me them and I'll pause the scene and correct things. This is meant to be erotic, not upsetting.

SETTING:
post-635939-0-05333800-1436760212_thumb.png
Gavin's Keep is the largest city in the continent of Xanya, and maybe in all the world. Home to over 100,000 souls and trading in
everything from food, leather and textiles to siege weapons, magic items, and slaves, it serves as both a neutral meeting ground between all countries and tribes and the main artery for global trade. It is surrounded by the Kingdom of Lanilyth, once mighty beyond reckoning but humbled in the past century by invasion and internal turmoil.

To the southwest is what was once the Great Peninsula. The Marrherra, sea lords from the ice wastes far to the north, invaded it a generation ago and renamed it Rardersland for their liege. Although he died at the Battle of Shield Island, they were able to destroy the isthmus connecting it to the mainland, turning it into an island and forcing a truce to end the war. To the west, beyond the forests, are the Wildlands, the seat of a forgotten human kingdom. Riddled with strange monsters and other anomalies, it is dangerous to even set foot in.

To the northwest are the Elven Principalities, led by King Helladrion. Their population has been greatly reduced by monstrous invaders, driving them to the banks of the Stone River. The common folk try to rebuild their civilization and prepare for the worst while the Elven nobles wall themselves off in the great city of Madunal, leaving their realm to crumble.

To the north are the Baramunz Mountains. Flanked by the demon-haunted wastes left by the Unholy March almost 200 years ago, surrounded by foothills full of orcs, and with peaks inhabited by ogres, trolls, and all sorts of fearsome beasts, they are effectively unpassable. Underneath them lies the last remnants of Dwarven civilization, the citadel of Zarakib under Mt. Baramunzar.

To the east is the great Nypenn Forest. The reclusive Old Folk inhabit the western reaches, shunning written language, cities, and worship of all gods but Indus. The south is dense bayou and swampland, inhabited by various hostile reptilian and amphibian tribes.

GAME DETAILS
Characters should be built with the 3.5 Corebooks, with 40 points each, then leveled up. If you really need something from a supplement, tell me the details and I'll try to look it up.
Scheduling will need to be hashed out, and this will probably be played via Roll20. We'll probably be trampling their terms of service though, so If anyone knows a good free online D&D simulator besides Roll20, I'd be very interested.

MECHANICS:
PANTHEON:
Lanillyth and its Elven neighbors share a pantheon, the latter of which introduced most of it from across the sea a thousand years ago. The Gods are never depicted with faces, as to look upon them would destroy any mortal being.
(Rank, Alignment, Domains, Symbol)
Adriel, King of the Law and Father of Civilization.
-Greater Deity
-Lawful Good
-Good, Law, Protection, Strength, War
-Knight In Shining Armor.
Adriel is the primary god of the elves and most humans, and is held to be responsible for the creation of written language, most non-magical machinery, and civilization itself. Adriel's clerics are found crusading against bandits, monsters, and all things that would threaten decent civilized folk. His mighty stone temple-forts double as courthouses for most cities that house them.

Saria, The Sun and The Light.
-Greater Deity
-Neutral Good
-Good, Air, Fire, Healing, Sun
-Long-haired woman in flowing dress on golden disc.
Saria is the secondary god of the civilized pantheon, the mother figure to Adriel's father figure. Saria is also said to have created Indus, but her worshipers viciously deny this. Saria's clerics are tasked with helping the sick and burning out evil, especially undead and other night creatures. Her temples are doughnut-shaped, with great, ever-burning bonfires in a central open-air plaza. She spends her days dancing about the sky, creating the day and night cycle and the variances of the seasons.

Indus, Mother Earth and Mother Nature
-Greater Deity
-Neutral (Indus supports worshipers and clerics of all non-Lawful alignments)
-Animal, Plant, Earth, Fertility, Water
-Venus Figure
Indus is both a god and the planet itself. Her worship and origins stretch back into the mists of time, but it is known that every human in southern Xanya once worshipped her. Those that still pay homage to her in rural areas believe that Indus existed before Saria's light first shone, a doctrinal conflict the Sun's worshippers are too tired to press. Indus' temples can be nearly anything natural- caves, groves of trees, ocean grottos. While most of her worshippers are benign or helpful, terrible storms and droughts are attributed to her wrath, and her fertility magic does not require consent.

Bariel, Lord of the Beyond and Knower of Secrets
-Intermediate Deity
-Lawful Neutral
-Law, Death, Magic, Knowledge
-Skeleton with Scales and Tome
Brother to Adriel, Bariel stands over death as he stands over life. Every soul is meant to stand in Bariel's court and be judged worthy of ascent into heaven or be thrown into hell to pay for their crimes. The gaunt figure knows the entire lives of every sentient that has ever lived, and records all of it in his infinite library. His followers seek out hidden knowledge to bring it to light, and often aid adventurers in putting down restless spirits- they see little wrong with soulless undead creatures such as zombies, though. His temples are homages to his realm- vast libraries above ground, and immense crypts underneath.

Zalat, Greatest of Thieves, Guildmaster of Rogues
-Intermediate Deity
-Chaotic Neutral
-Chaos, Luck, Travel, Trickery
-None. Zalat is represented by the worshipper's shadow.
There are a thousand stories about who or what Zalat was, when they lived, or how they stole godhood, but the stories all agree that they did. Zalat has never had an organized church or many clerics. The few that do worship them usually preside over thieves guilds, if they're not out for themselves. Thieves, vagabonds, and other scoundrels give thanks and curse them in equal abundance. The only condition for worship is darkness, and the more the better.

Moradin
-(As in PHB, but a Lesser Deity)
The chief Dwarven deity once rivaled Adriel for power, but with the near annihilation of his subject race, he has faded to a shadow of what he once was.
---
Of course, these are only the Gods commonly known in the south. Foreign lands have different gods, and each monstrous race reveres its own terrible deity, like the Orcish Gruumsh or the Goblinoids' Maglubiyet.

NEW RULES (Based off of the Book of Erotic Fantasy)

Pregnancy: When a PC (or female NPC) has sex, they risk being impregnated. I will roll on a table to see if pregnancy has occurred- birth control has a chance to prevent this roll, depending on its effectiveness. For purposes of roleplaying, the formula will be kept hidden. If the players prefer, they could roll or I could make it a more story-driven process.

Cross-breeding: Humans are uniquely malleable among races, capable of interbreeding with just about every sentient and producing half-human children. This makes them (And sometimes these half-breeds) uniquely desired as mates and slaves. However, there are no Quarter-Orcs or Quarter-Elves in Xanya- A half-elf who becomes pregnant by an elf will have a full-blooded elf child, while a half-orc who mates with a human will sire a human child. Scholars attribute this to everything from a forgotten god's blessing or curse to humanity's status as some kind of "first" race.

The creature's clothing, including undergarments, belts, and footwear, loosen and fall off, leaving it naked. Nonmagical jewelry, including rings, earrings, and necklaces also fall, sliding off as if covered in grease. Objects that are held remain in the creature's graps, as well as magic items that are worn. A creature wearing nonmagical armor must make a Reflex save or halve their armor bonus (rounded down) due to the clumsy way in which it dangles off the body. It takes half the time to refit armor loosened this way as it takes to don it completely (see Core Rulebook I). It requires a full-round action to don regular clothing.

This variation of the mage hand spell lets you "feel" a creature from a distance as if you were actually touching it. The creature feels a sensation as if being lightly groped or caressed on their bare skin by a hand, while the caster experiences the sensation as if he were physically touching the target. The caster does not actually touch the target and does not gain the benefit of any spell, effect, or attack that relies on touch. grope cannot be used to deal damage or to push the target in any way. The target of grope spell suffers a -2 penalty on any Concentration checks while the caster is concentrating on them.

Range: Touch
Target: Living creature touched
Duration: One hour per level/permanent (see text)

Powerful, invigorating life force fills the target creature. The target creature gains a +4 enhancement bonus to Constitution and remarkable stamina as if they had the Endurance feat. In addition, the creature becomes remarkably fertile and has a permanent 100% chance of conceiving if it engages in sex (a block the seed spell or mundane birth control may still affect conception.) The creature still becomes permanently fertile if it was sterile before, due to age, disease, or magical effects. Anyone attempting to strike or otherwise attack a creature within the warded area, even with a targeted spell, takes 1d6 points of force damage per caster level (maximum 20d6). A creature with the Evil subtype, such as a demon or shadow mastiff, takes a -4 penalty on its saving throw.

The mark is visible unless the target attempts to disguise it with make-up or cover it with clothing (a Disguise check).

NEW ITEMS
Birth Shield. 40 gp. A small herbal draught, this potion renders the drinker infertile. A triple dose induces an abortion. Not illegal in Gavin's Port, but so prohibitively expensive (Due to the prostitution trade) that only upper class girls are able to use it. Totally banned in the Principalities and the Kingdom
Condom. 1 sp. Made of sheepskin, and fairly reliable. Available wherever sheep are slaughtered.

-Anything that remotely even looks like its underage. All NPCs will be 18+, and all PCs should look and act this way too.

I wonder, why the minimum age should be 18+ years old?

I prefer 14+ years old, as the correct age for people to have sex for the first time. To be honest, most people in the past get married around 14+ years old. And in modern day, most of us lost our virginity around 14+ years old too.

It's the law of the nature.

18+ years old is inappropriate for a medieval fantasy world like DnD, it's too political correctness. If 14 years old is too young, 16 years old is good enough as long as it's not 18 years old. It's like bringing democracy, public election, one voice one vote, human rights kind of topics and discussion, into a medieval fantasy world where kings, royalists, knights and feudalism are still dominating it. It ruined the whole atmosphere of medieval fantasy world actually.

Loverslab don't have any problem with any sexual fantasy. So go ahead, bring realism into DnD! :)

I don't mine with the slavery topic, as well as racism toward different race like Elf hate Orc kind of thing. Racism conflict between Dwarf and Elf kind of thing. I think LoversLab members here are mature enough for such a thing.

I guess since you have a full party, this question is moot now.  But how does this work?  Do you have a specific time to play?  I assume it's done via the Roll20 site(?)

It is an interesting concept.  Wish there was an actual game like this that I could play offline.  Really like those NWN adult-type games, myself.

Btw, love the "Grope" spell.  :)

I'm not exactly sure where the concepts of "realism" and "fourteen-year-old level three player characters" are supposed to meet. It's a brutal fantasy world, not a Harry Potter novel.

Oh, and Mena... if you like Grope, you should see Prismatic Dildo. OMFG.

Agreed on the offline thing. The world needs more games like this, in settings like this. I'm kind of surprised that nobody has re-made NWN or created a similar game with modern graphics yet. But hey, that's something to look forward to.

A transcript is like a copy-paste log of what happened in the game.

"Realism" is only important to the degree it helps the suspension of disbelieve anyway - to make the world believable enough. It would be realistic if your character could just die because they stumbled and broke their neck, and if most wounds would lead to you bleeding out unless your got really quick medical attention (and, in an medieval environment, barring magic, in quite a few cases that won't help either. And even if it does... say hello to infections) - there are some people who really enjoy that sort of thing, but the vast majority of us prefer the usual "character gets whacked with a sword a few times, no big deal" type combat (and occasionally, get whacked a few more times and instead of dying be at the mercy of their enemies <_<).

So in discussions like this, realism usually just get invokes because it (seems) to favor one's own preferences and people think "this would be realistic" is a better argument than "ok, here's what I like and dislike, think we can get to an agreeable solution?" - which it isn't when you have a mature enough group.

(Then there are the people that couldn't care less about the combat, but want the economics of the world to make sense - who produces what, how are the trade relations, are there even enough farms etc. to support the population size... nice way to drive a GM crazy >_>)

BTW, any idea how long the campaign will run?

  • 1 month later...

I'm dying to know, does Roll20 require something like Teamspeak, or webcams?

If not, do you require or use them in this?

I miss the days of D&D.   I have a friend that has often talked of starting a campaign online, something like this, but standard, without the erotic parts.    He has said pretty emphatically that he will require Teamspeak and a Webcam.      Personally, I don't own a webcam, and hate talking out loud using computers with other none computer users in the house.    I love rpgs, and miss the days of the original Everquest, when you could just be on your computer, roleplaying, and not bother someone in the same room watching tv.

Just wondering how you handle that aspect of it.

Well I agree with you. If it is a medieval setting like anything in DnD then adulthood at 18 is retarded, hell many states age of consent is 16. Even in the 3.5 DnD book humans are mature at 15. No joke it is in the book!

Saying that, just because you can role play a teenager who gets raped, doesn't mean the people around you can handle that. Society programs citizens that 17 years old are non sexual... even if biology and logic says differently. If someone can't let that conditioning go then don't force them. Not everyone can let go of reality in their DnD role-playing time, and while I sort of do think that is sad... it should be respected.

Just say you are 18 to the group and in your head be 15. Physically they can be identical depending on the person, LOL say you are 18 to the group and be in character lying about being 15! You never really have to ever state your characters age to the group. You can always just give a general description. She looks like an older teen who has grown into adulthood /cough DND adulthood is 15, and let them assume 18.This way you both get what you want. Just don't ever tell the others your characters real age so they can keep up their illusion to ease their conscious.
