Me and NPC's are rooted in place

After I installed (http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=2234) and (http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=184) suddenly most NPC's are rooted in place and I'm rooted in place as well if I switch to 3rd person. Thinking of just doing a clean install.

 

current load order but will probably weed a few out.

Well, I do hate to say it but yes, you do need to do a bit of house cleaning. That mod list is pushing the envelope as to the number of mods that oblivion can handle and remain close to stable. Before uninstalling anything however you need to pop over here and look at the bottom of the OP for a better lovers load order:

For example:

LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp

LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp

These two need to be at the very bottom of your load order or lovers won't work worth a darn. Truthfully all of your lovers esp files need to be at the bottom of that load order to ensure they work.

 

If you were not aware Oblivion works off of a scheme in that if there is a conflict then the lowest mod in the load order "wins". This is why lovers files with all the scripts that they have need to be at the bottom of your load order.

I've never actualy had any real problems with lovers mods with where they are in the load order. My one problem with LoversBitch was cause I forgot to allow creature rape lol. I just don't understand why the 2 animation packs screwed up NPC walking.

Maybe a screwed up walking animation file or something? Do you have any mods that replace those? If yes, try removing/ reinstalling them.

 

Also gregat is right, you have like 230 mods in this list, that is almost at the limit of what Oblivion can technically handle. You should:

 

1. Get Wrye Bash and make a bashed patch. That will free several slots from patch mods Bash imports into its own patch. It may also root out conflicts that you weren't even aware of (like items not appearing in certain containers or monsters not spawning everywhere they could)

 

2. See what you can disable. For example there's no real reason to keep several custom races that don't add npcs into the game world. Bash allows easy switching between mod configurations for different savegames.

 

3. Clear out unused mods from your data directory. For some reason Oblivion can only handle a certain amount of inactive files as well. Again, Bash has the ability to automatically turn all inactive mods invisible to Oblivion.

One of the mods that are bashable i think was altered somehow cause I keep getting a message about how strength has no class or some shit. Also I got unlucky in that only 16 of those 230 mods are bashable lol.

 

I'm also searching around to find out how to add all those custom races as brand new NPC's inside Oblivion. Closest I found was just altering existing NPC's :-(

Guess I'll try that but closest tutorial on (http://cs.elderscrolls.com) is replacing 1 NPC with a new one. I'd like to create brand new NPC's without removing existing ones.

 

Wrye Bash message I get when I try to make a Bashed patch is

only response I've gotten on the forums is something about a mod being edited or something.

 

Will take a while to do anything cause It's taken 3 hours just to do un-install everything to do with oblivion lol. And will take up to about 5-6 hours to reinstall all the mods I plan to use.

That error looks more like a bug in Bash itself then something with your mods. Seems they broke a couple of things with v. 295.5. Try an older version, those should work.

 

CS Wiki also has a "Basic NPC Creation Tutorial" under Actor Tutorials that you can use for starting.

Re-installed Oblivion,BOSS,OBMM and all except Lovers mods. I found Wrye Bash 294.2,downloaded and installed all the Python .exe's and now Wrye Bash won't even start.

 

Edit: downloaded standalone version of Wrye Bash 294.2 and it seems to be working so far.

 

Edit: Bashed Patch went through but still got the error

Edit 4: Added only (http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=2234) and NPC's and monsters are rooted in place again :-( Can't even get a few better sex animations ;-/

Do you use the new cbash option for building the patch? I don't know how stable that is yet. Use the normal one instead.

That salamander race seems to require OBME to work, and that adds something that bash doesn't recognize.

I don't know that candles mod you get the missing master with. Maybe it has some patch as a master that got disabled by bash? You can just enable that again, or exclude it from being bashed.

 

If your animation error stays, you'll have to make a clean safe, activate lovers and the animation packs and then add your other mods one at a time to see if one of them is responsible.

No I didn't use the Cbash option. I'm going back through all the mods I added recently to see if they might be the cause. Author finally posted a fixed link to the esp on nexus for his one mods plus found an add-on for a mod that adds more werewolves but author had to split it to 8-9 esp's

 

Didn't think about it but guess Dynamic Leveled Lists isn't compatible with Wrye Bash or Bashed Patch needs to be excluded from DLL?

According to their readme DLL should be loaded after the bashed patch, but I don't use that mod myself, so no idea if it can cause any trouble.

 

Don't just uncheck your mods, make a new clean save and work from there. There's always stuff remaining in a savegame if you just uncheck the esp.

Think I might have found the problem. Started up the save where I noticed NPC's rooted in tutorial dungeon with all mods except sequels to certain ones and Bash Patch disabled and NPC's moving just fine.

 

NVM, they moved a bit til the ambush after the goblins and then they were rooted again along with Glenroy and Uriel are now missing their heads haha

 

Edit: Downloaded a save from Nexus to test mods outside the tutorial dungeon and all NPC's are walking around fine lol. Damn tutorial dungeon is always so buggy.

well if you don't want to use candles for kleptos you need to untick the csv in change form ids

in fact don't tick it at all.

it looks like that race is mangled, not sure what the heck SPEL.OBME is.

what mod is it?
