He does need to use LOOT, but not the "Sort" button in MO.  Run LOOT from the MO toolbar to sort plugins and see what's corrupted.  Also run TES5Edit,  SaveCleaner and Wrybash (create a bashed patch) all from the MO toolbar.  Then use SKSE within MO to launch Skyrim.

http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer

you're using all these phrases that aren't explained well.

don't use the "sort" button in MO. I dont know what that is and I dont use that.

"run LOOTS from MO" --- how? It's just an exe file in my program files.

these last three filse are a bunch of exes. i only have the ability to launch "skyrim" or "skyrim launcher" or "skyrim script extender" via MO

i see all these patches listed but not the DLC itself. if you do have the actual DLCs and cant load a save try loading into a new start then loading over to the save that wont load. if the game crashes at the skyrim logo you have other issues . I understand the frustration but the lack of actual information here makes it difficult to try and help you.one of the glaring things i see is that your unofficial patch is load low in the order it should be first after the skyrim esm. if your unofficial patch is reading as a esp you need to delete it and download a new one and Mo will read it as a esm and then loot can put it in place properly.

This is as much help as i can give you with what info you have given me.

Ok lets get this working.....

First: Stop take a deep breath and everything will be OK !

Second: mods can be the most pain in the ass ever and the most fun so it takes time and when you get a mod list as long as mine youll find you play more just tweeking mods and testing stuff than you do the actual game....

Third this stuff is not magic it works asumming you have installed and read everything corectly and MOST IMPORTANTLY INSTALLED ALL PRE-REQUIRMENTS <<<< this little one gets me a lot because not everything is clearly spelled out with peoples mods..... You have to do this sometimes and READ through lots of pages and searches in the support topics or forums to get an answere... but normaly its something dumb.

Here is what i would recomend and what i would do if this was me ...

If you dont ahve a save your attached too START OVER>  from scratch like everything...... your mod list is so small that it makes me think you dont have the core mods installed correctly to begin with.

So im going to give some links that you should read ( READ EVERYTING ) before you evevn download the mods and then read it again to make sure you understand what order to install and whats required. If you follow the steps you should be fine..

I dont use Mod Organizer I use Nexus Mod Manager its realy simple so far and I have never had any problems.

So here are the links since you are not the first person that has had trouble.

so the order would be.

1:SKSE http://skse.silverlock.org/ I used this vid like forever ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xTGnQIiNVqA

2:FNIS http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11811/?

3:SKyUI http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/3863/?

all of thse you will need to read and understand. then after all this stuff is installed and looking good youll need to run TES5edit i think is it and this has a very good video because that is always better than reading for me...

And im sure there are vids on how to get started moding skyrim as well....

I hope this is right its been so long im not even sure anymore but I have a good feeling it will get you started.

Pay close attention to the manual install sections and requirments.

And this one is IMPORTANT be sure to use the up to date versions of mods its insanity but things get updated at the moders own pace so normaly things are backwards compatible with the core mods like sexlab and FNIS ect... but not the other way around... outdated cores will get you in trouble.

And when all else fails Run for Tech Support    http://www.loverslab.com/forum/39-skyrim-technical-support/

Just FYI it took me 2 weeks to decide to try to buy skyrim and mod it and another 2 weeks of reading before I installed my first mod and its been great ever since but Countless hours of READING and then Reading some more...and then reading about How all these things work together once a moder always a moder there is no going back.

Hope this helps Ill check back for replies. Good Luck

PS I have never been able to use LOOT it dont work for me

So to be clear I use NMM ( nexus mod manager ) A save cleaner Called (SAVE TOOL) and Skse loader Skse will tell you how to use this and FNIS and Nexus although not as adult in policy have great mods and mod support.

http://www.nexusmods.com/games/mods/modmanager/?

And Just for Kicks this is my Load order.... Somone is going to gasp at this and if any realy good moders have any tips I would love to here it becasue i have no sorting software.... So this was sorted on trial and error.... BUT THIS IS PLAYABLE somehow and everything works for the most part with lots of settings of and on because of mods that do lots of the same things...

This is how I install mods. I'm using NMM to download and install my mod ( well there are people that use Mod Organizer instead of NMM ) I'm not familiar with MO and too lazy to learn :D

- Install Skyrim and update patches / install Skyrim Legendary.

- Install SKSE, SKYUI, Racemenu

- Install FNIS and find "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe" from your game folder and run it each time you install something that has animation. (Make a shortcut to your desktop to make it easy to run)

- Use only one type of body ( CBBE, UNP, UNPB, ADEC, 7B ... etc ) just one of them. And it also goes the same with the armor type you are using.

- Install all mods you are going to use via NMM / Manual install

- Download LOOT from https://loot.github.io/and run it to sort the plugins you've installed.

- Download TES5Edit and use it to remove identical record.

- Download Wrye Bash to build a bash patch.

- And run your Game ( Skyrim (SKSE) )

Well from what I read using MO is better. Because MO does not install the mods directly to the game folder. So you can activate or deactivate your mods anytime you want without ruining your master game. But as I said I'm too lazy to learn about it. maybe a MO Guru here can give a bit lesson to us all? :) anyone?

Oh btw I'm still in learning process too. :D :D :D

skyrim won't load, won't load how? crash to desktop? launcher won't start? launcher starts but no game?

if CTD then i think you're missing requirement for alternate start, skyrim version correct? do you have the DLCs? check with their mod page.

if its the latter i dunno, might be some d9dll problem. keyword MIGHT.

People have said it, but I'll just reinforce some things.  Since your install is so hosed, just start over.  uninstall everything, including skyrim.  Then reinstall skyrim.  Does the game work?  If it doesn't, then your skyrim install is hosed.  Reinstall from Steam.  Once you know that your base game actually works, install each mod one at a time, and MAKE SURE the game works before you add another mod.  Start with sky ui and skse.  You do have skse, right?  You didnt mention it.  Make sure you have the LATEST of each (yes, the beta latest).  If your game works with skse and skyui, then install FNIS.  Then your ENB.  This is probably where things will start to go screwy because ENBs are resource intensive and a bit buggy and the install is not easy.  If you get that to work, continue with racemenu.  Does racemenu work?  Then you can start piling on the mods, one at a time, making sure each one works.

Always take a backup of your Data directory before you install the next mod, so that you can replace it if the mod goes bad and you have to back it out.  And since you are using an ENB, and most of the stuff for the ENB goes in the skyrim directory instead of the Data directory, make backups of that before and after you install your ENB.
