spoonsinger Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 From your list I suspect "MoreChems.esp" i.e. "CAM - Chems Alcohol And Meds Version 8" has a serious bug in it which was pointed out a bit back but hasn't been fixed yet in the actual mod - unless you want to GECK youself, (i.e. vortex thing). Use latest version of version 6 until it is fixed. Details here :- http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50817/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fnewvegas%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D50817%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D1029928&pUp=1 (Ps actually looking at the thread there is now a hot fix - EDIT - which doesn't entirely work ).
Swyke Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 Which mod manager do you use? Why do you have two falloutnv.esm in your load order? The Sexout esms (NG, SCR, Preg etc.) have the wrong order, this should usualy crash your game. Does your game run at all?
scyth Posted March 11, 2015 Author Posted March 11, 2015 thx i will use cam 6,0 and yes my game works
spoonsinger Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 No problem, hope it works (I suspect just luck on my part at looking at the symptom). However your load order, (as pointed out), is actually horrid. Mind for whatever faults NV had when released, it does seem more resilient than Oblivion or Skyrim in the respect of mod load order - even if horrid. Just an observation and I never really modded Fallout 3 to any great extent - so don't know if its related to it's code base or whether the external designers of NV went "crap we can't do with this we only have a few months to get the product out - and that thirteen year old girl isn't going to get any younger for the voice acting - so just find a fudge fix which works". I will also now duck and cover when people say 'No!!!! - it was and still is just horrible'. So I suspect this observation is subjective.
techiespeek Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 For FO3 and FNV using BOSS to sort the load order and FOMM for managing mods and manually tweaking or fine tuning load order is a good place to start. I would also read up on and use FNVEdit and run it with a conflict detection filter set. Miax and JustinOther wrote a quite comprehensive guide for this, but will definitely take you some time setting up everything and getting familiar with what things to do that will help you speed up the entire process. I can take a base vanilla game now, and mod it up with my favorite stuff and have it running fairly smooth in usually under and hour using these tools.
