Concept for a side-quest mod.

First of all, I am not a modder and I don't think I'll ever mod. But I had a rather large idea and thougth I'll share it, maybe someone find's some ideas interresting. It is probably much to large to ever get made but why not think about it?
 
Problem
 
I consider the most of the Mods on this page rather lore unfriendly, because the overexpose the player to sex. That is, mods like Solutions and Lover's Comfort are quite fitting, but even Defeat or TDF Prostitution turns everyone into a horny motherfucker. So I would like to see a mod which provides a storyline which is more than "fuck-your-way-to-the-top" and thereby not as repetitive.
 
Preface
 
Brothels. A questline about brothels. That's the idea.
Of course prostitution and any form of public sex is outlawed in Skyrim. But if you have a large town, you will have prostitution. So two cities of Skyrim had them: Solitude and Windhelm. Mainly visited by sailors and other guests, the brothels had arrangments with the Jarls, so if they kept a low profile nothing happend. They could also sort out problems with customers themselfs. But since the military came two Skyrim for the war, those brothels were taking over by them (keeping the group moral). So what happened is, that the imperials took the brothels in Solitude and the Stormcloaks the one in Windhelm. The owners were thrown into prison and the ladys must serve the military to not get thrown into prison as well. So things got rougher and many hookes fled those cities, but they couldn't afford a bodyguard, so many were never seen again.
Also male prostitues should be included, but be a minority (because fewer women than men go to hookers).
 
Phase 1: The Refuge Brothel
 

Since many women fled Solitude and Windhelm and some made it, they ought to live somewhere (about 10 of them). So they took an old shack (or something, I think near Riverwood would be suitable) but since they do not have any money for guards they get attacked regulary. That is a near bandit camp just does not kill them because they have "an arrangement" (=fucking for free, they would need to have a custom faction [=bodyguards]). But other Bandits sometimes kidnap or kill the prostitutes. And that is were the Dragonborn comes in. Now the quest can be started in different ways (you cannot enter the brothel without the password):
 
  1. Meeting an escaped hooker (low chance) on her way to the refuge brothel. She doesn't know the way so you have to find it somehow. That is asking a few people, but the right one, so no guards get involved. You may have to "persuade" someone to tell you. If you suceed you will be able to go to the brothel.
  2. Freeing a kidnapped hooker. You are killing a dungeon and find a chained up lady. She may or may not know where the brothel is.
  3. Getting captured by the bandits, near the brothel. Would probably need death alternative or defeat. The player will be raped if he is female and then brought to the brothel. If he is male he will have to screw some female bandits. Then he will be part of a raid and go to the brothel afterwards. Same thing for the followers.
 
Variant 1 and 2 may become 3 if the hero gets captured.
 
Now the quest is: get the shit safe, because the situation is ugly. The Situation is difficult, because there are to many girls, too few customers and to little security. The first thing is, to convince the bandit chief, that they could make more money escorting the whores to work. To test that, your first task is to demonstrate it. If you are male, you will be bodyguard and escort a hooker and the other way round (the bodyguard can request sex from the hooker on their way). The first goal is to find clients in Riverwood (one is sufficient). You have to be careful to not get captured, but otherwise it is not that hard.
Now after that suceeds, the word spreads in Riverwood and more orders come in, which will be taken by other whores and their bodyguard. Now the goal is to get one clients in every minor city, so they know of the brothel. If you have made enough money, you will have to buy a view horses to reach the more distant villages. The prostitutes will travel there for a view days. The more often they go to one town, the more clients they have.
Villages are:
  • Rorikstead
  • Ivarstaed
  • Falkreath (seems to small for an own brothel)
  • Shor's Stone (needs horses)
  • Karthwasten (needs horses)
  • Dragon Bridge (horses)
  • Kynesgrove (horses)
  • Morthal (horses, also to small)
 
If that is done, the brothel basicly works and if it would be possible (from a modding standpoint) one should be able to move the brothel into one of the hearthfire estates, if it was bought. This would then enable customers to come to the brothel.
But the brothel does not belong to you, but to one of the prostitutes. 
In this phase the player shall be able to take random minor quests as the following (it switches between whore and escort by sex):
  •  simple escort into a city. you get a list of customers, which need to be pleased.
  •  go with a group of whore to a location (mine, farm, bandit camp, but not military!) and please them. bandits may try to enslave the women.
  •  free a captured hooker
  •  collect money from a customer who didn't want to pay
  •  bribe the guards if they heard something
From this point you can also recruit prostitutes, which I will describe later, because saying "you wanna be a whore?" is a bit too simple i think. Alternativly you can free more captured hookers from dungeons, if you happen to find them. Since every hooker needs a bodyguard to travel you can also recrut them. 
That now is the way to progress: get five new hookers, since the brothel works. Though one ought to say, that it doesn't make that much money, because they have very high expenses in security and long ways. If you have five more hookers your brothel is to large to be ignored by the officials. So the guards from Whiterun come and demand huge discounts or they will close the brothel. So what basicly happens is that the brothel is loosing money. The solution to that is simple: open a brothel in Whiterun, because you need less security there and can therefore make more money.
 

Phase 2: Start your Business

 
Now three hookers and two bodyguards (you are either one of the hookers or one of the bodyguard) go to whiterun to build a brothel. You need to be a thane for that, because you will need to buy property. At first you are staying at the inn.
There is a local pimp which you need get rid of. He is ...drumroll ... Nazeem, who has two hookers. He is under the radar of the guard and you will have to get rid of him and make a deal with the guards. First of all you have to find out that he's the guy. You cannot just kill Nazeem, because then the guards would have to arrest you. You also cannot expect, that they will arrest him for pimping and let you pass. 
So here's how that goes down: 
  1. (A) You go as/send a prostitute to the streets until he (or one of his hookers) see's it. That may take several times, but gossip will clarify that.( B) Convince Nazeem to take one of your hookers and send them to work (this will be you, if you play female), your bodyguard will follow you. 
  2. If Nazeem find's that out (A) or finds out someone is following ( B), he is gonna kidnap the hooker. (that is either you or you are to go after her).
  3. The hooker (you if female) gets put in some ZaZ thingy and Nazeems is trying to get information and rapes her. That should be a new house with a basementf. And there are remains of other hookers in the corner 
  4. The bodyguard (you if male) gets the guards and goes after him. The guard of course understands that this is about prostitution.
  5. The bodyguard and guards find him raping the hooker (in a bondage position) and they also find the corpses of other hookers, so they arrest Nazeem and execute him.
 
Now the Jarl wants to see you, because he realizes that he won't be able to get rid of prostitution. He now makes a deal with you: to assure that you do not mistreat your hookers (yeah, that is the reason) one will stay with him. She changes frequently, but it won's be you (so you are not bound to stay in his rooms). The Jarl might however still request you.
Now you can start your brothel in Nazeem's house (which you need to buy), but you still have to keep a low profile. If any hooker get's caught (what might happen, since street prostitution is also possible) or if she get's in a fight with a customer (described later) she will got to prison. To get her out, you have to go to Commander Caius/Sinmir and do him a some favor (either please him, or he might ask you to send some hookers to some of his soldiers outside whiterun or something like that). Than he will secretly release the hookers from prison. If you are caught you will be brought directly to Caius/Sinmir.
 
This Phase will also provide random quests which would be similar to the ones in Phase 1. It may happen that a hooker which fled strands in Whiterun and goes to prison after trying to make a dime.
 
Additionally you would be able to provide BSDM Services in the cellar. The Brothel needs 7 hookers, so it is considered large enough for Whiterun and you can continue your quest.

 
Phase 3: Build your Empire (This could be skipped)
 

Now you have a business and it is time to expand. You may ask why? Well: because! Now you cannot expand into Solitude or Windhelm, but you can build one in each other major city Skyrim. 
So each City has different mechanics and soma a special feature (as BSDM in Whiterun)
 
Riften
 
The Thieves Guild does not want you around. So you will have to get an arrangement with them. The Thieves Guild will make use of the visits prostitutes pay to customers. That is, since the owner of the house will be distracted, the thieves will steal. There should be a view quests to test that, were the player is either the hooker (F) or the thief (M), so the thieves guild tests the relationship. And busting people out of the prison works both ways: the brothel sometimes needs to get thieves out, while thieves use their influence to get the hookers out.
 
Location: Some new house, maybe underground.
Number needed: 8
 
Winterhold
 
Since the people of Winterhold are very sceptical of the college, the Jarl considers it a good opportunity to spy on them. That is, the brothel will have an intense escort to the brothel and one hooker will stay with the archmage (though she changes and may be replaced by a male hooker if the player gets archmage). This will need a few quests before, so the college trusts the brothel. 
One quest could be to tame a strange beast some apprentices summoned and the other one could be to test a succubus spell.
 
Specialty: Let's say the mages can summon strange things.
Location: A house somewhere (maybe not colliding with Winterhold rebuilt)
Number needed: 7
 
Dawnstar
 
Dawnstar has a bathhouse which you can reopen. It will be frequented by sailors and miners. To get anywhere in Dawnstar you need to have the miners on your side; Beithild thinks the workers will be less productive. So both mines start a competition: you will go in one Quicksilver-Mine to please the workers, the Iron-Breaker will not have any. Of course the workers will not be as productive, so you will have to help for that. So you have to steal ore from the day before and place it on the stock for the current day. If you suceed with that, the miners will be allowed to visit the brothel and you will sometimes have the possibility to enter the mines with a few girls.
 
Speciality: Nothing really, just a steamy bathhouse with a lot of nude people.
Location: A bathhouse at the shore.
Number needed: 8
 
Markarth
 
Now the Dibella Sisters are not whores here, more of the opposite. They are clearly against a brothel in Markath. To get their approval or at least acceptance, you have to disguise yourself as a priest (obtain the robe by screqing a priest for it, I don't know...) of dibella and sneak into their private chambers with a male prostitute (a bodyguard would also do). You will also need skooma. That is you drug them one by one, and let them be screwed by the male prostitute. If you are playing as a man, you will send a hooker with the skooma to the sisters. Afterwards none of the sisters will speak up against the brothel, mainly because one of them is pregnant.
Secondly you need to get a location for the brothel: the markath ruins would be perfect. So you will have to complete the cidna mine quest (if you are playing male a hooker will be thrown into the mine with you) and will be raped while completing the quest (that is done in solutions i think). Once you or your prostitute gets out, you will go to the Jarl and tell him about the rapes (you were innocent after all). He agrees that this goes a bit far (though in private) and so you can open a brothel in the markath ruins. That is because you can now get the women out of the mine into your brothel without anyone noticing. Since the ruings provide a lot of space some sort of stage for pole dances and stuff should be added.
 
Specialties: Getting hookers out of the Cidna Mine and shows.
Number needed: 9

 
Phase 4: Joining the Military

Now while you built your empire the whole situation with the big brothels didn't work out as hoped for the both armies. They overdone the whole thing and so they do not have enough hookers for their camps and barely for the cities. So now they got to know your network and hence you will get requests for them. But you need to be part of one army and also you have buyd the "Refuge Brothel".
You do not have to take a side in this battle. You will get several requests for providing for their army camps, where you need to go with at least five hookers. However the opposing army may attack you on the way there. So you will need to take a lot of bodyguards.
You will however also get requests from the opposing army; this will result in you sending hookers (or going if female) but telling your army. So they attack while all the soldiers are destracted. That can be done for several camps (you kill all of them, so the rest does not get this that fast).
If you're done with that phase, you need to finish the civil war. You will have to served at least three camps (they remain after the end of the war as far as i know). 

 
Phase 5: Divine Rage
 

Since you helped the military you have a bonus with either king. Getting Ulfric/Brunwulf satisfied is not that hard, send three hookers to his palace permanently and he will agree you can get the brothel in Windhelm. Elisif on the other hand is not as easy. She wants a lover, but not anyone a priest: Rorlund. He needs to be drugged by skooma, then screwed so he feels unworthy of beeing the high priest. So you can take him to your brothel, were he bangs a lot of hookers. Then he can be made the loverboy of Elisif.
(A weak finale, but I couldn't come up with something better) This now raises very heavy anger with mainly all gods. A troop of Vigilants of Stendarr now forms and marches against your brothels. You will have to meet them in battle (with all you got) and destroy so you can be the king-pin of Skyrim. If you do that, you will have suceeded in turning Skyrim into a whorehouse.

 
Mechanics for Hiring Hookers

I would distinguish into three types of hookers:
 
  1. Slaves
  2. Full-Time
  3. Part-Time
 
The slaves are those you've beaten into submission and then put into the brothel. Doing that can have major consequences if it is found out and you need to keep an eye on them, so they don't run. You however train them to become normal hookers. So it's rather a strange way of recruiting. Full-Time hookers are just hookers, how you would expect them. If you free one of those from a bandit-camp they will freely work for you.
Part-time hookers are brothel specific. They have a normal dayjob, but for whatever reason they decide to make some additional money at night. For example Aela could be of that type. Some of them (then not aela) might even be turned into full-time hookers.
 
Additionally I would introduce a Slut-Factor. This may raised by 3 per new partner, by 1 per being nude and maybe 2 by a nude dance or something. The max would be 100. Now one can calculate what a whore actually does from the whore-factor (Whore = 2*Slut + Arousal):
  • 100 Dance nude
  • 120 Blow Job
  • 140 Vaginal
  • 160 Anal
  • 180 BSDM
  • 200 Beastiality
 
Now of course, you can only hire a woman as prostitute if she has a slut-factor of 70. You may however hire other women as dancers, which would then be part-time. If you enslave a woman you have to raise the slut factor about 70, at which point you can hire her as a normal hooker.
Sending an enslaved prostitute to the Jarl or any Guard, will result in them finding out, which will lead to a huge punishment for you. They may also not return from their assignments or flee. 

 

 

 
 
 
The whole Story is yet incomplete and again: I don't think anyone will have the time to make it. But since I thought about it, why not discuss it, right? If anyone else wants to add ideas I will gladly add them to the list.
