Immersive compass

Had an idea for a mod  complementing  I hud  A compass shown in first person view that actually worked!!!!! either pointing north or at the current objective

Maybe I'm being retarded, but isn't that already a thing?

 

Or do you mean a more compact style? I don't use hud mods other than skyUI.

I think he means you can use an item, pull out a compass with your hand or something. Certainly immersive but it would take a lot of scripting.

 

This should belong in general modding rather than the general subjects.

There's no compass mod, but there was that mod, a long time ago, that added a map item. Your character could hold it to look at it, and you could zoom on hit to summon a temporary Clairvoyance spell (about 5-ish second). Pretty much the closest to what you're looking for.
