gooboo Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Hello everyone. I've been working on my own variation of the HGEC bodymod recently, and I've been testing it out in game. For some reason when I load up and play the game, my character's body (except for the hands and feet, whose meshes I did not modify) just appear as solid white, and I'm not sure why. In Blender the textures load fine, and in Nifskope they work too. I double checked the file path, and everything is installed where it should be, but for some reason it just shows up as solid white in the game. I've never had this happen to me before in Oblivion, so I'm not really sure what to do.
gooboo Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Okay, I figured out what was causing the white skin texture. I had left "has vertex colors" on to yes i nifskope, when I changed it to no it added the right texture to the lowerbody portion of the bodymesh. However, with the top half, for some reason it's just a solid peach kind of color. I don't think the texture is the problem because I tried loading the vanilla hgec top mesh and it worked fine, so for some reason Oblivion isn't reading the body texture for the top portion of the body, only for the bottom half. Again, in Nifskope the texture loads fine for the top half, just not in game. Anyone know why this is?
fejeena Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 ?? How should we know it? upload the nif ! The NiTriStrips or NiTriShapes Name must start with "Foot:" not upperbody, Body , .... All Body parts that use the footfemale.dds must have the NiTriStrips or NiTriShapes Name "foot" (femaleupperbody , femalelowerbody and femalefoot.nif) the femalehand must have Name "Hand" NiSourceTexture must start with "textures" NiMaterialProperty must be "Skin"
gooboo Posted September 6, 2014 Author Posted September 6, 2014 Thanks, that solved the problem. I figured it was something simple I was missing.
