It would make Skyrim that much better but there is a chance of lag

I would love that too and I have good news for you guys. Someone is already working on that. I don't remember if I saw it here or on thenexus. But someone already converted a vanilla pony-tail hairstyle to work with hdt and will be doing it with the rest of the vanilla hair. If that person doesn't change his/her mind though.

Apachii hair's a damn behemoth, and not everyone uses it (myself included). I'd rather the vanilla stuff's done first, since then there's something available for everyone instead of tackling the metric fuckton of hairs in Apachii first.

Not only that, but that would require redistributing Apachi's, and no one got authorization for that. I think Beth is alright with their own content being modified for the game, though
