How can I do this? (Modding)

Hi!

 

Today I downloaded a custom race for Skyrim and I found some cute hairs. Obviously, I can't use them with normal races, so I unpacked the .bsa file and obtained the .nif files of the hair. Now... How can I add them to use normally? It can't be difficult... right?

I believe the tool is called nifscope.

This is correct you will need NifSkope and have to make texture packs for each hair style you want to use with your custom race. You will find lots of helpful tutorials on this and it is not real hard to do

You need to make the hairs available for normal races in the CK. Or create a new Mod with the NIF and DDS files from the custom race.

Thanks guys! In the end I used the CK and created a simple .esp that allow the hair to be used by any race. A solution much more easy and fast than creating a new mod.
