Golgo13 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 In a previous game, flawless rubies and flawless emeralds didn't exist-- at least, for purposes of crafting. They would exist in my inventory, but, when I wanted to use one in a crafting recipe, they remained grayed-out. That didn't interfere with my activities overly much, so, I just crafted things that didn't require them. I guessed that it might be related to whatever bug allowed creation of "jade and emerald circlets" out of individual leather strips. In a different game, it was "flawless sapphires." I am pretty far into my present game-- far enough that it would be very aggravating to need to start over, again, at this point. But, I just discovered that my crafting problem this time involves diamonds, which are used pretty often. Worse, I like to use the "Angelic Halos and Demonic Horns" mod to put a "fallen halo" over my follower so that I can easily spot him/her in the middle of a fight. But, none of the color variants can be created, because they all require diamonds. (This isn't just a bug affecting that mod-- diamonds don't appear at the forge, period). So, I'm finally irritated enough about the bugginess in my game to ask what I should do about it. I posted a separate question in the Sexlab technical support area about that mod acting strangely. Perhaps, the issues are unrelated; perhaps, they're not. I'll post the load order; I'm not getting any crashes, so, there's nothing to report, there. Golgo13 Posted June 2, 2014 Author Posted June 2, 2014 I didn't mean that they didn't appear in the game-- I meant that, when they were in my inventory, and were required by a smithing "recipe," that item in the recipe remained "grayed-out." In different games, I've had different items work that way: in one game, it would be a flawless emerald; but, diamonds worked. In another game, flawless emeralds worked, but ordinary diamonds didn't work. In yet other games, no items had any problems-- although, usually, one of the gems is bugged. I can't make any sense of it.
prideslayer Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Ah well.. bugged recipe.. bugged savegame.. bugged *. Skyrim is buggy as shit. That's all the insight I have into that clarification of the problem.
