I have tried it several times and it always crashes at that point. I have a tremendous amount of mods installed, but they should all be compatible. hryh23k9823u Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 It's usually recommended not to install any mod until you leave Helgen's keep. Start a new save without mods, pass Helgen and when you're actually out and the new quest pops, save and exit and install the mods again.
Katarina Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 It is exactly as Lother says, your mods are definitely behind the crash; the first quest just does not play well with them. Unless you really want to play through the vanilla introduction quest however, you could always use this mod to get around the problem. It allows you to "skip" the first quest (by giving you an alternative starting quest) and start the game in one of several locations of your choice.

But I've been wrong before However, if you're open to "skipping" the first quest, I really don't see why you shouldn't use the mod I recommended. I've used it since just about when it was released and never had a problem with it - it's been a core mod for me ever since. But it's your game, your call

Must have a messed up mod soup, timt to spend another 20 hours modding before I can play the game.
