Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Well without a load order it's hard to say one way or the other. However, I figure this is the best question to ask since you mentioned the Civil War, you wouldn't happen to be using the Civil War overhaul mod?
D_ManXX2 Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 yes he probably has Civil was overhaul. This mod is really script heavy. and still very buggy. But if you have the mod installed deleting it will not work you need to fully start a new game to get rid of any left over scripts. Â btw if your using this mod forget about using any other scripted mod. it will be best to play this on new game without any other mod installed. or the scripts will spam constantly.
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 19, 2013 Posted December 19, 2013 Yeah CWO is really buggy, It's nice and all but imo it needed to be refined a lot more before it was publicly released.
Strelnikov Posted December 19, 2013 Author Posted December 19, 2013 Well, thanks for the replies - unfortunately I've never used CWO, so that can't be it... Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 Nothing really jumps out at me but someone else might notice something I overlooked. However, you need to re order your unofficial patches it should look like below.  00  Skyrim.esm 01  Update.esm 02  Dawnguard.esm 03  HearthFires.esm 04  Dragonborn.esm 05  Unofficial Skyrim Patch.esp  [Version 2.0.0a] 06  Unofficial Dawnguard Patch.esp  [Version 2.0.0b] 07  Unofficial Hearthfire Patch.esp  [Version 2.0.0] 08  Unofficial Dragonborn Patch.esp  [Version 2.0.0]
D_ManXX2 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 you have to check every single mod that edits anywhere near Windhelm and deactivate one after the other.  Right now the only mods that edits Windhlem heavily are: 61  3DNPC.esp Inconsequential NPCs.esp  Actually your patches look fine boss will put them in that order since all esp are nor fake esm.  btw you have many mods in your list that could eventually make any once game unstable. Especially script heavy once.  btw what type of pc do you have ?? how much memory and what type of videocard etc.. ??  i would not play with all of these mods together in one game:   11 DW Commoners.esp12 DW Enemies and Wanderers.esp11F Skyrim Immersive Creatures.esp [Version v6.1.3]20 Skyrim Immersive Creatures - DLC2.esp [Version v6.1.3]21 Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp22 WetandCold.esp23 Footprints.esp24 Footprints - Ash.esp28 iHUD.esp37 Immersive Darkwater crossing.esp38 Immersive Dawnstar.esp39 Immersive Dragon Bridge.esp3A Immersive Falkreath.esp3B Immersive Ivarstead.esp3C Immersive Karthwasten.esp3D Immersive Kynesgrove.esp3E Immersive Morthal.esp3F Immersive Orc Strongholds.esp40 Immersive Riverwood.esp41 Immersive Rorikstead.esp42 Immersive Shors stone.esp43 Immersive Stonehills.esp44 Immersive Whiterun.esp45 Inconsequential NPCs.esp46 Run For Your Lives.esp [Version 1.2.1]4A Headtracking.esp4E dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp61 3DNPC.esp67 Skytest Immersive Creatures.esp68 AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp    There could still be more but you have many who are unknown to me.
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 BOSS does a lot that it shouldn't or doesn't need to. The author(s) of the unofficial patches say to put them in that order.
D_ManXX2 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 The you are looking at a different unoffcial skyrim patch then i am. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/?    Skyrim.esmUpdate.esmUnofficial Skyrim Patch.espDawnguard.esmUnofficial Dawnguard Patch.espHearthfires.esmUnofficial Hearthfire Patch.espDragonborn.esmUnofficial Dragonborn Patch.espHighResTexturePack01.espHighResTexturePack02.espHighResTexturePack03.espUnofficial High Resolution Patch.esp  Â
Koko.Hekmatyar Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 hmm they changed it. It used to be the other way, maybe something in the recent updates make the new configuration in load order required.
Strelnikov Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 Well, I changed the load order of those patches. I also uninstalled those 2 npc mods, AND reduced my ugrids setting from 9 to 7. I got closer to Windhelm when I uninstalled 3Dnpc & inconsequential npcs, but it still crashed before I made it to the stables. The strange thing is it's been running fine up until now (level 42 with this character), with no obviously area-based CTDS like this one... Â Anyway, specs are as follows: Â Intel i7 4770k 16GB RAM Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 (3GB vram)
lidowxxx Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 You have been using ugrid higher than 5 all the time? Dude, there is only one advice when it comes to ugrid, do NOT mess with it. It may cause no outright errors when you start a new ugrid, but it will inevitably bring permanent changes to your saves, often in harmful ways. Sometimes the CTDs you experience may not be related to the area at all, it has nothing to do with mods that modfiy the place, it's just because you changed your ugrid. It has nothing to do whether your computer can handle the higher ugrid, it doesn't matter you have 5Ghz running i7 or multiple titans, it's the about the limit of skyrim engines. When you play a ugrid higher than 5, more areas, npcs will be detected before you get close to them and more importantly corresponding script attached to NPCs will start running when it normally should not be. Â Search one of gopher's videos on youtube, he explains the harms that higher ugrid can bring in details. Funny thing is that I remember gopher specifically mentioned a problem he had in his video which is very similar to yours, he had crashes whenever he went near an area north of falkreath and he couldn't pinpoint the cause of the problem, and he had changed his ugrid too.Â
D_ManXX2 Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 even Ugrid7 can be unpredictable. that is why they advice never to even touch this setting at all. Many use it because they want to be able to view farther away, but this will make even the fastest pc unstable.
Strelnikov Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 Yeah, I turned it down to 5 and that fixed it >_< Â Of course, then I couldn't deal with the LOD pop-in so I turned it back up to 7. Maybe I just won't buy TESVI if they don't use a new engine...
lidowxxx Posted December 20, 2013 Posted December 20, 2013 There are plenty of distant terrain and LOD mods on nexus that vastly improve the visuals, sure it can't be compared to a higher ugrid, but at least you can safely play your game without worrying about crashing or blowing up your saves.
Strelnikov Posted December 20, 2013 Author Posted December 20, 2013 Yeah, I have the distant terrain one, maybe I'll get the animated waterfalls & windmills as well, ugrids=7 seems to be stable enough.
