A little guidance on animations.

Hi, I'm trying to get into animating for Skyrim. It seems that 3ds max 2012 with plugins is the preferred method, but I don't have access to that. So it's the Blender route with trying to use Animation Tools V3 (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34671/?). This seems promising because it includes an IK rigged skeleton, an export script AND works with the latest Blender. BUT I don't see anyway to import existing animations. So my question is: how would I go about getting existing .kf files into Blender 2.69? Or Is 2.49 with plugin the only way to import .kfs? Would I have to import .kfs into 2.49 and then load the .blend file in 2.69?
