Probably a dumb question: Is there a way to simply transport my Skyrim SE modlist into Skyrim VR and make it work?

Recommended Posts

Since Praydog's UEVR won't work on Skyrim, I'd love some sort of alternative, but I don't think such a thing exists. All I want is to view my modded flatscreen SSE in VR.

I know that most SE mods will work for VR, and I know this question is a longshot. Is there a way I can just transfer my modlist for flatscreen SSE into Skyrim VR? I'm not necessarily interested in tracking or VR controls, I'd just like to view the world in VR. Like many, I've spent countless hours working on my now fully-functional sexy SE modlist. Now I want to see it in VR. Is there a way to do this that doesn't involve recreating a modlist from scratch?

I've looked into a few Wabbajack playlists but none of them have anything close to all the mods I have from LL. I guess that might be a good place to start, but I just don't know if I have the energy to basically rebuild a modlist for VR. I'd love to be able to just transfer it over and maybe add a few patches.

Well of course UEVR won't work on Skyrim. Bethesda doesn't use Unreal Engine. Anyway, the answer to the question as you've phrased it is "no." You can't transport a SSE modlist to SVR. Any mod that requires Skyrim Script Extender has to be ported/recompiled against the VR version of the script extender. If you just want the VR visuals in your flat Skyrim SE, you can try a different VR injector, like Vorpx.

Is the best implementation. You can basically play 'any' 2d game in VR, depending on what setups/configs are available. It's a whole world to jump into.

But for SkyrimVR, the VR specific mods are good, most quest mods work, most outfit etc. mods work too.

Best to see it as a different game tho, mod it properly from scratch with VR specific mods..
