Random Work Spike


This mod is not quite finished yet, but I could use the feedback from some additional testing to get it there so I'm releasing it as is for now.

 

This takes cnwjr's "Increased Work Spike" mod and adds the ability for your co-workers to spike you with non-Basic X-Change, and even a "Clone" pill that gives you the effects of a New-U machine.

 

Now when a spike event occurs the following events can take place:

  • 50% chance to be spiked with a 1 day Basic
    • 12.5% chance for Basic spike to temporarily add Libido Overdrive
    • 12.5% chance for Basic spike to temporarily add Submissive Pleasure side effect
  • 35% chance to be spiked with a Clone pill that changes DNA to a randomly selected character's (like the New-U wheel of Transfortune feature)
    • Clone spike lasts either 1 day, 3 days, or 1 week
    • Clone spike does not include birth control (may add as a chance later or cause all Clone spikes to include birth control with chance for this to not happen, lemme know what you think)
    • 25% chance to be given a clothing rental ticket when spiked with Clone
    • 10% chance for Clone spike to add side effect "Swallow cum daily or this DNA becomes permanent"
    • 10% chance for Clone spike to add side effect "Orgasm daily or this DNA becomes permanent"
  • 10% chance to be spiked with an X-Tra Strength (not full duration)
    • X-Tra Strength spike lasts anywhere between 3 and 10 days 
    • 5% chance for X-Tra Strength spike to temporarily add "Libido Overdrive" side effect
    • 5% chance for X-Tra Strength spike to temporarily add "Submissive Pleasure" side effect
  • 5% chance to be spiked with Breeder
    • Breeder spike lasts 3 days

 

When gaining temporary side effects through a spike event there is currently a very minor amount of scripting and a quick pleasure gain event. I'd like to potentially expand on these a bit later, once the final kinks with the functioning on the mod are hammered out.

 

Which Version to Use:

While testing and fixing remaining kinks there are 2 versions of this mod available: 1 that uses only the base game characters for possible Clone pill transformations, and 1 that includes all modded characters in the game to date. In the future I'd like to have a version available for whatever combination of added characters you use, but for now it's all or nothing. If you have all currently available modded characters (Violet, Apples, Abella, and Kenzie/girl11) use the file that says "multi-char." Otherwise, use the no added characters file. Using the "multi-char" file when you are missing any of the modded characters might cause the game to try to transform your character into one that it doesn't have the data and files for, which will obviously cause some major issues.

 

Compatibilities:

Mod will conflict with anything else that alters the way workplace spike events work, including cnwjr's "increased workplace spikes." Good news though, this mod fully integrates that one, so it already increases the likelihood of spike events at work.

 

Installation Instructions:

  1. Download 1 version of the mod: "multi-char" if you have all the characters added by mods, and "no added characters" if you do not have all characters added by mods. DO NOT TRY TO USE BOTH VERSIONS AT THE SAME TIME
  2. Add the file to Mod Loader
  3. Hit the "Load Mods" Button
  4. Make sure to use the resulting X-Change Life Mod.html
  5. Enjoy!

 

Feedback and Testing Needed:

In testing this myself I did run into a couple errors, but it's very difficult to determine if these are caused by this mod itself, a combination of this mod and another, or just something else entirely. I really need some feedback from you guys as you test this to see if you run into the same or other issues. 

 

The other thing I need a bit of help identifying is whether the temp side effects actually work. They will notify you that they have been added when the spike event occurs, so you'll know that you now temporarily have Libido Overdrive or whatever else, but I'm not convinced they're actually being applied. to the character properly. There's a similar issue with the rental clothes ticket given to you from Clone spike. This has only happened once for me in testing and I couldn't get the clothing shop to recognize that I had the voucher, so I need to know if this works properly for anyone else. Also, I'm simply too lazy to change all the values so that this is a guaranteed proc, test myself, then change everything back.

 

Long story short: let me know what works and what doesn't in the comments. Please include which version you're using and whether you're running other mods that might potentially cause interference in events.

Something seems off with the X-Tra-Strength Spike ... there is no pill at my portrait (duration/fertility/lactation/etc.) ...

And during transformation and the morning schedule there is some kind of "division-by-zero" error ...

 

Basic, Clone and Breeder pills seem to work as intended ... aside from never recieving Side-Effects or (a voucher for) Rental Clothing ...

 

There are no other mods running/installed ...

The side effects not actually working is something I suspected was happening, but it's nice to have it confirmed from another source. Will try to get those working when I have some time to mess around a bit more with the mod.

If you haven't already, check out my post in the modder's resources section of the Discord. I was, um...stealing your code for an attempt at making an edited version of Bar Drugging, and I tried tackling this issue. (I think it ended up being a matter of the New-U code looking for the pill duration in the form of a string (like "One Week").)

After playing some more weeks ... and more spikes ... I received sometimes side effects (Libido Overdrive/Submissive Pleasure) ... they were temporary ...

 

Once or twice I got the message "Rental Clothes Returned" ... when the pill has worn off ... but I don´t remember notifications, I receiving those clothes ...

It have been short-time-pills ... less then a day ... no time to check Bonwit Teller for a voucher ... inventory had no clothing ...

I just got an idea this morning ... after trying to pour in coffee before the cup was ready ...

 

What if ...

- the lines of code are correct in itself ...

- the code just tries to hand out clothing ... before the character ( = pool of clothes) is defined ...

 

Just my 2 cent as a former car mechanic ... sometimes it´s simple as that ...
