HDT hair doesn't work unless I unequip/equip armor/clothing

[The Dragonwhore]

Weird issue that I have no clue how to diagnose

 

So, any HDT hairs will just be static, unless I unequip/equip some body armor (doesn't work with other armor pieces)

 

And sometimes it seems to just randomly reset to static, but also certain things will cause it (like when the hair is first equipped. Whether its taking off a helmet, loading into the game, or a mod like Let Down Your Hair)

 

The only thing I can think of might be RAM (I have 16gb right now, but I am going to upgrade soon)

 

Anyone else know what could cause this? Any hints towards the cause would help, so whatever input you got is helpful

The first thing you'll see when you run out of ram is that your HDD light is on constantly and your game performance drops to single digits. Once you run out of space in the pagefile you get a memory allocation error and that may lead to a BSOD. Never been there, I don't know how severe of an issue Windows classifies that as. Anyhow, your issue seems similar to this.
