Halp! Something weird has happened in my NV.. i did all the DLCs, i'm near the end of house's storyline.. and.. when i load any of my old saves, ESC key will no longer bring up the menu, half the time ~ doesn't bring up the console.. and then after about two minutes my game crashes to desktop D:

 

i started a new game, just to test, and everything seems okay.. but i don't want to start a new game, i'm so far.. done so much.

 

Oh, and on the new game, some crates aren't opening, and mod-added NPCs aren't working (like angelica companion, clothes mods)

Mod conflicts? Save-game corruption? Possibly load-order is fucked up?

 

Did you add/remove/update any mods just before this happened? Have you checked your load-order to see if anything is in the wrong place? What is the maximum airspeed of a fully-laden swallow? (ok, just kidding on that one. )

 

 

Good thing to do, since it might be a load order change that's buggered it up for you, is to post your full load-order. (in spoiler tags if it's a long one please )

If there are any mods that got added/removed/updated just before it happened, posting them would be helpful too.

Ok, if that is the order your game loads that lot, I'm frankly shocked that you haven't caused half of the planet to meltdown...

 

 

Where did you get the list from? It's not any load order sorting tool I've seen that does it like that... it's just an alphabetized list. If you've got LOST of FOMM (tell me you've got FOMM... please? ) then export the load order using either of those and paste the result here.

 

I'm just going to go rest my head... the thought of that being an actual load order is painful.

XD that's from plugins.txt, that nvlauncher.exe makes

I do have fomm, but i don't like it much, tends to muck my game up when sorting things it's way. I put the tags on the front of things so i would know what sort of mod they were and where i should put them in fomm, but then things started going to hell. Body replacers like "body by race" not replacing all, because something ELSE was trying to mess with bodies, etc etc.

these are my most recently added mods , the ones in red i removed. They were simply doors to the DLC to come and go easily.

 

i went into lonesome road, wandered a little, then left. That's when i noticed ESC wasn't working... and then i tried removing the mods, same. So i tried loading saves BEFORE the mod, same.

 

I can fast-travel to places via the "coc" command, but then i crash shortly after

Mikoto and Lings do not work well together... they enjoy conflicting and causing problems. I'd suggest removing one of them. (sucks, doesn't it? )

 

 

Give that a try, see what happens.

i just realized it may be nvradio extender. Mister new vegas gives an announcement, then none of my music plays.. that's when the game JUST locked up (tried again)

Kay... so the stupid four doors to the DLC were still there. I removed them and a few other unused [core] mods (christine skills for example, since i'm not IN dead money now ) and then i immediately coc'd to gsdocmitchellhouse... and everything SEEMS okay, as of my writing this.

Mikoto and Lings do not work well together... they enjoy conflicting and causing problems. I'd suggest removing one of them. (sucks, doesn't it? :( )

 

 

Give that a try, see what happens.

 

If you are updating EDE to a female then it uses Mikoto
