Potatooblivon
Hi everyone, I'm in the process of making a nude Giant mod and well.... things are already broken. The only thing I've done so far is go into 3ds Max and delete the giant's loincloth to expose the crotch. I placed the new, edited mesh into my Skyrim directory where the giant's character assets go, everything is named appropriately. The problem comes in when I try to load the new mesh ingame. I used the console to spawn a giant, but when I did the only thing there was a floating club. The giant still attacked everything and moved around, it was just invisible. Any experienced 3d modelers know what's going on or how to remedy this? Link to comment
Ark of Truth
You have not add the skin wrap most likely. The skin wrap needs to redone after every mesh edit. Link to comment
Potatooblivon
Is that something done in 3ds Max, nifskope? I'm an absolute beginner with modding. Link to comment
Ark of Truth
3ds Max If you go through this guys tutorials here you can learn the basics from a beginner level. That's what I did. It's on a playlist so after the first one finishes it will go to the second automatically. Have fun Link to comment
Potatooblivon
Thanks Ark Edit: There's no way for me to add/edit a skin rap in the same way that the video explains. Any other ideas? Link to comment
Ark of Truth
If you are using 3ds Max then the option is there, what version you using? Link to comment
Potatooblivon
I'm using the 2012 version. In the dropdown menu where "Smooth" is supposed to be, it's not. As far as I know, you need to add a smooth to skinwrap. Link to comment
Leito86
I use 2012. Check again, the option is there. Link to comment
Potatooblivon
Thanks Leito, I was pressing the S key to auto-scroll to Smooth, but it required me to scroll down manually. Duurrr. Link to comment
