Egyptian Military Takeover

Some of the politicians in the US government want to cut off aid to the Egyptian government. Why? Currently the military is in support of the western countries such as the United States, while the Muslim Brotherhood is political organization that promotes, spreads, and creates terrorist cells around the world aimed at our destruction. It seems some of those in our government would rather have a crucial country in the Middle East hate us just so they can have a democratic election. Shouldn't we be supporting the military? Wouldn't we rather have a military run country that is our ally in crucial part of the world than a corrupt democratic government that wants us dead? What POSSIBLE REASON could we have for wanting the brotherhood back in control?!
