What would it take to make a good ERPG+Turn Based Nation building game?

With far too many RPG Maker crap quality games, even the vanishing small few that are kind of good, but really don't make it in the end, cause of weird genera standers breaking design and abusive tricks you won't find in any real game; while only a hand full of actually good erotic games, like HoneySelect 1 & 2, Breeders of the Nephelym and a small hand full of others.

 

I kind of wonder what it would take to make a genuinely good 3D-ERPG + Turn Based Nation Building game that would take place on a completely different planet whose dominate species are various different Futa Tentacle Sex Monsters?

The issue with many adult games is that you're often in it for the porn more than the game itself. People don't want to play, they want to access the porn. So anyone that want to make a good game that is also erotic face the very expected result of going against player's expectation.

 

As such, if you wanted to make any erotic game and have success, I believe the best solution would be to make a very easy game as a standard, with frequent adult entertainment, and get a bit of game in between. Then a second difficulty that would be the proper way the game should be played for people that want to enjoy the game aspect of it.

 

If you do want to take this endeavour up, I advise you to check this video about gaming loops. Around 11 minutes in are the comparison that might help you: Xcom. If you want a ERPG (or any form of adult based game) you need to have either the game, or the adult stuff complement each other by breaking the monotony of the other.

Heh, I will have to give it a shot in my next rerun of this life... Assuming my focus on that run allows enough room to take up computer programming... 

...  I might have to wait till the one after that... Fluid dynamics engineering and electrical systems engineering appear to require quite the dedication.  Especially if you do both of them.

NUDE MODS FOR TRIPLE A TITLE GAMES!

World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Skyrim and Oblivian, FallOut, ect.

These games and their nude modding communities clearly prove that the difficulty of the game does not impact the desire to have sexual content added too them.

 

Illusion Games like both HoneySelects, Artificial Girls, AI Shoujo ect, plus titles from others like Breeders of the Nephelym, Sex Villa 2 (kinda, though they got killed after trying to pirate into Microsoft consoles), ect.

These games are examples of how good the visual quality and animation can get while still having a significant focus on game play, though the game play is sex itself.

 

I don't think your assessment of such a game not being able to work out is correct.  I think there are more then plenty of people who would enjoy a game with traditional game play difficulty options, that follow the standards of the genera they come from. 

 

People are nude modding their favorite triple A titles

Most of the RPG Maker ero games suck so bad that they almost never get too 10,000 buyers or subscribers, with the only exception being Latex Dungeon and Karryns Prison... and only because they at least either had some assembly of quality (Karryn's Prison) or lacked the bait and switch abusive design (Latex Dungeon).

Games like BotN and Illusion games show that a focus on quality matters and sells.

I get you're not asking for them you want to make one.

I don't know to what extent you want it to be 3d. If you just want graphics for scenes, there are tools for that that are very commonly used. But actual walking around a 3d world is much more difficult.

Aaah, yeah, I am kind of more imagining a, What would an erotic Futa Tentacle Monster girl game look like, in a combination WoW RPG style with Civilization seriers nation building put together.

 

Or something like, how would you expand Breeders of the Nephlym or Honey Select 2 into a WoW like RPG with civilization seriers like nation building using Tentacle futa Monster girls.

 

Maybe we should send this question to Illusion; they clearly got the talent for erotic games.

 

Since the idea of actually trying to merg a First person RPG with a Turn base overhead civilization builder is so far removed from any ones imagination and expectations, I think the closest relatives to gadge at least some idea, would be to use C&C Renegade and Savage: The Battle for Newerth as games to give a foot in the door reference, to start building an imagination out of, then reforming it as needed.

Would likely need massive maps akin to the Elder Scrolls and World of Warcraft contanent maps and same style map/dungeon/building transitions.
