CTD on Quick Save, Any Ideas?

So I recently reinstalled skyrim, due to constant crashing, and added a couple mods. However when I'm about 10-15 minutes in game, I hit F5 to quick save and it will CTD, I have never encountered this problem before, although this is my first time adding sharpshooters ENB, which could be a potential cause.

It's the ram and vram, skyrim plus enb eat it up, I play in my lap and my desktop pc, same mods and same save but this only happen in my lap, it's old but was a gift so I'll use it forever, but in my four way titan never happens.

I have the same problem and its the sexlab plugins (not framework)causing it, atleast for me, try to disable them 1 by 1, i was able to save after i disabled them.

Didnt figured out why they do that though.

Well, I'm gonna disable some mods, and start new once again, because skyrim started crashing on saves now...gotta love Skyrim.

Yea, I too only started noticing the Save Crash, when I started using ENB's recently, But I've become so attached to them now, Skyrim looks dreadful, without them. I'll give it a shot, and see how it goes.

That's my point, because the different ENB used less your ram and vram ergo, longer gaming, it's not you rig problem, it's Skyrim engine crappy use of memory, first it used 2 gig of ram, it doesn't matter if you have 32 gigs, the moron only used 2, then they made a patch claiming it will allow to use 4, but so far getting to 3.1 equals CTD, so just remember to save often, normally I save in four states and I go from oldest, the quick save I only use it indoors.

It's more mods and scripts issue than spec imo.

1. Try "ClearInvalidRegistrations" first in console (with SKSE), "pcb" may helps.
2. Move some files out of save folder.
3. Disable Steam Cloud.

hi guys as a noob  i tried new ENBSeries 0.200 + realvision performance +enboost  to running mine dragonpron over 200 mods/plugins in my old junk pc core i3 and its work out of the box

 

but i still need fixing my load order and i need your sugestion to uncap nmm 255 mods limit

I don't think hijacking a thread is the best way to get suggestions for your situation, especially when you don't mention any CTD issue. You'd better search the forums to see if a thread that matches your situation has already been created, or create your own if there isn't one.

 

But not to leave you hanging:

As far as I know the 255 mods limit is not specific to any particular mod manager but to Skyrim itself: the game assigns an index to every plugin it finds in the data folder and is told to load (including the game's and its dlc's esms), and that index can't go higher than 255.

To manage your load order, you should get BOSS. The purpose of that utility is to rearrange load order according to a masterlist referencing plugins the BOSS team know of, so as to optimize compatibility between plugins and minimize problems. It doesn't always sort plugins where you'd expect it to and it doesn't recognize all plugins, but it provides a very good starting-point.

Finally, you should consider using TESVEdit and/or Wrye Bash to further improve compatibility between plugins by creating merged patches and/or bash patches.

I might try the recent CTD and Memory patch ENBoost, heard some good reviews, so I'll give that a go.

I was having a crash on save issue before also, till I re-installed Schlongs of Skyrim.
