[Idea] Slave in Marriage

Theme: The Ball and Chain

Very much inspired by the ideology of Baka and Ylenard's SexLab Approach, which is to make NPCs approach the PC in contrast to the PC having to (directly) initiate events as they normally would have to in vanilla Skyrim or other SexLab mods. This idea is also a derivative of this one on forced marriage, though as more flexible. A final inspiration is SexLab Survival's optional feature requiring PCs to have an escort before journeying beyond city walls.

Skyrim is a cruel and harsh region fraught with danger. Often, the lone traveler who journeys into the wilderness never returns. Else, they make a name for themselves, then suddenly disappear of the face of the world - perhaps having been killed in a back-alley or sold in the underworld of society. The men of Skyrim have consequently grown protective of their women; they lack any confidence in the latter's degenerated survival skills. But lo and behold: the female Dragonborn who shatters their worldview, climbing the ranks of society and reigning in power above all else. Can that be allowed? Should that be allowed in a world bereft of capable women? The men of Skyrim disagree. The possibility of a shortage of women, and the risk of the Dragonborn wasting away her childbearing years, is too great. And there, too, is the desirable child, the next Dragonborn, who next inherits her blood. So the men scramble to claim her for themselves.

There are two ways by which the Dragonborn attracts suitors.

  1. By fame: If the Dragonborn has gathered a sufficient amount of Titles (from Vanilla questlines).
  2. By (dearth of) sexual activity: If the Dragonborn has either abstained from sex for a prolonged period of time or chosen to remain chaste (tie-in SLSF).

Once one of these requirements are met, men seek to propose marriage. Some threaten the Dragonborn in front of her very face. Some propose marriage kindly. Some hire bandits to kidnap her. Still others seek to purchase her off the Slave Auction should she ever end up there (tie-in SS++). Once the Dragonborn is married, all others will acknowledge the lucky individual as having laid claim to the great treasure.

The purpose of marriage is threefold in this case. One; they wish to have a child who inherits her powers, or to maximize her capability as a baby machine before she hits her menopause. Two; they wish to have exclusive use to her body. Three; they wish to guarantee her safety. On the latter, the Dragonborn must report back to their home in regular intervals. Her physical, magical, and Dragonborn skills are what provide some confidence that she'll be able to survive alone for a while, but that's as far as her husband will tolerate. Her returns serve to confirm her safety and provide another chance for baby-making activities. These returns also provide her husband knowledge of what she's been up to and where she'll go next. To the benefit of the Dragonborn, marriage disallows her possibility of being sold in auctions due to her fame. On Defeat or Black Out events, the Dragonborn may also be taken back to the 'comfort' of her home rather than be left for dead (with the possibility of dying from hypothermia). Her defeats, however, may cause her husband to lose trust in her, thus placing her under house arrest for a few days.

Beyond her obligation to periodically have sex with her husband, she may also wear a collar (tie-in DD). This device could be what allows her husband to track her location at all times. Or it could simply indicate to other people that she's taken. In any case, she is now just a pet spending what time she can in momentary freedom before old-age overtakes her.

Should the Dragonborn prove to be incapable of surviving at all, her husband may confine her to their home in perpetuity so that she remains secure for impregnation. She must either steal his master key (to remove her collar) or kill her husband. Or she might just choose to be a stay-at-home wife and leave her adventuring days behind. That's up to her.

There are so few mods that do anything with marriage its a shame, honestly kinda surprised more mods don't have spouse specific interactions, and its annoying that first one that comes to mind is that dumb setting in fertility mode that adds chance to inseminate from sleeping in the same bed with the spouse auto enabled (along with random chance to get pregnant from just sleeping). The closest thing to this is Wartimes which is still getting updates at least but its not quite this and its only this one house with this one npc. Pet project looks nice but as someone who is not into chastity it's sadly not for me.

Overall interesting idea but the last part I think would need to be optional feature, there is a very good reason stuff like permanent slavery are often optional in mods like lola and devious followers, situation like that SHOULD be hard to get out of but not impossible. Could hook up the mod into fertility mode with soulgem sttings and/or soulgem oven, so that when your husband notices you are a literal goose laying golden eggs soulsgems he could get rich easily, just needs to stop you from going outside if he notices you are pregnant and then collect the gems after the fact. Maybe similar integration with whorecrux gems? Could make very similar dialogue for both tbh, just maybe make him slowly realize what triggers whorecrux curse.

Another part which I think could possibly be harder to implement than the rest is you having take care of the household, cleaning up the mess, feeding the children maybe? You have to make sure there is enough food in stock or you end up accuring bounties on your head for being such a horrible mother.
Fill her up has interesting interaction with fertility mode, being filled with cum over certain treshold can optionally keep sending the data into ferility mode, so maybe your husband gets impatient after a couple failed attempts and uses plugs on you.

As for collar idea I think its cool, but there should also be options for other devices or maybe something like a ring/amulet, a lot of mods already use collar and there is a pretty good chance someone might have a mod like that installed.
Another fun mod integration could be using sexual fame framework, all your exploits eventually might reach the ears of your husband and he is not too stoked them, and it would also be a chance to actually integrate the pregnancy fame in that, as far as I know no mod actually uses it, famous dragonborn becoming a proud mother should be a good gossip topic and something nosy people wouldn't fail to comment about.

I agree. Should be an option that can be enabled in MCM.

I'd also put it as some mods have too many features such that they become bloated and confuse the user. I'd been searching for a marriage mod, so I'm disappointed like you. I remember using Further Lover's Comfort back in LE, but it doesn't fit into my game world theme this time around. It also seems a little broken for SE. I think if we were to remove all the Optional features and fluff from this mod idea for maximum flexibility/compatibility, the core of it relies on fame, marriage, and rape. 1) Flag if Player accrues sufficient fame OR Player satisfies a condition by completing a Vanilla quest; 2) On condition = true, script runs on intervals to enable "suitor" or "Black Market Thug" event; 3) Forced Marriage (through vanilla marriage quest if no replacement for said quest); 4) Increased susceptibility to being raped by husband, run through polling by proximity or same-cell check + Forced dialogue if absent from home for extended period of time.

The soulgem pregnancy is a great idea! I'd forgotten about Soulgem Oven.

Never used it myself, but fertility mode also has an option for gems... but I never used that option as it would just be free money. Wanted some sort of interaction for it for ages but I don't think it exists.
