The best practices and mods for race-based lot traits and caste systems?

Recommended Posts

First I'll explain my use case, second current limitations on that use case and thirdly proposals/a request for possible solutions.

I love the existing interracial and cuckold CC, but I also really love simulating modern sex slave states in Sims 4, particularly with the institutionalized use of racial domination and raceplay (e.g. racial BDSM like bleached/pro-White, blacked/BNWO, etc.), consensual and otherwise.

However, some of my existing methods are lacking. Hence, I'm looking for or hoping to build mods specifically for raceplay-based world-building in Sims 4.

Existing mods are too bottom-up

For instance, while I've greatly enjoyed the attractiveness module for shaping global beauty standards, and mods like Sims Snatcher to restrict slaves' autonomy/household access within homes, Sugar Life/Roommates for slavocratic financial domination, etc., it currently takes a lot of manual work. This is doable and sometimes preferable but...

Rather than arduously add traits to Sims from the bottom-up, I'd prefer to also have options to create a robust, top-down caste system with trait-based (i.e. racial) segregation, privilege, etc.

Ideal Features

Here are 5 ideal features I think would make this viable:

  • Global servile/discriminatory behavior towards un/favored traits
    • It'd be awesome to see this level of structural realism that makes BDSM scenes even more enticing.[1] This would in theory enable Sims with specified traits a license or privilege that functions like the reputation system in the Get Famous expansion pack.
  • Signs that include or exclude Sims with certain traits
    • Much like Wicked Whims allows nudity, sex, etc. in certain rooms, except with skin color, buttocks size, etc.
  • In-/Exclusionary lot trait
    • Ex. Black-only strip clubs or brothels, with white dancers without white customer NPCs. Or when they do spawn, bouncers automatically escort them out — and vice versa for White world orders, etc.
  • Simulant Auction lot trait
    • Trafficking auctions are a planned feature for the creator of Sim Snatcher that I hope we can get (but we may not get) but it'd add to the realism
  • An unequal tax system that distributes financial benefits to Sims with the dominant trait
    • I'm a lot less certain about what this would look like in Sims apart from the SNB mod but I love the realism for findom potential there

Do tools currently exist to achieve these kind of world designs? If not, would anyone interested in this kind of structural level kink if I/others decided to make it?

[1]: Though interesting, this version of structural realism is not to be confused with being a form of scientific realism. Just talking about power dynamics.

Weird. Thought I posted my responses earlier.

I do have a question for all: what are the most useful options you guys have found thus far?

The game engine is not prepared, and can not differentiate between sims based on appearance. Last time I checked it can't even test for specific CAS items a sim might wear, let alone skin color - which is after all is just a color slider.

Stuff like this could only be handled through adding custom "race" traits, but that would need to be applied manually to each sim. I cannot see a way that it could be done automatically for spawned sims.

This is such a RIP. Though, I did recently check out Sacrificial's Life Manager mod which is able to spawn a couple dozen or so Sims of a specific skin colors, from teens to elders, effectively. So I just shift-click and 'Force enslave' the ideal ones with Sims Snatcher. I think there might a way to automate some trait attribution processes more easily by leveraging whatever wrinkle Sacrificial is exploiting?

Keep us updated.  sounds great

Will do! I finally managed to get all of the EPs and getting my mods up to date so I hope to find new viable, combinations of mods/packs or find time to learn more about mod development.

Well, it doesn't exist yet in this form. The closest I've recently come to achieving some of the structural features I mentioned like racially discriminationatory lots/doors is the Gender & More Custom Lot Trait. I've also been trying to include/exclude on the basis of making doms occult Sims, which could be used for worship functions with Rambunctious Religions mod?

I do think the interaction potential between the two has a lot of potential. I wish you could exclude/include a wider range of existing attributes like immortal/mortal or club membership, etc. Playing with clubs in Get Together makes aggregating Sims for specific social dynamics also has potential.

Any other new combinations turn out to be useful since the update?
