I probably messed up...

Hello everyone, i come to you in time of great need.

 

I managed to get a massive modlist to work kind of decently. But my sorry ass, thinking it was a good idea to make some space on my HD, deleted some files from the mo2 folder that usually link to my download dump. But the last time, it didn't, and i've cluelessely deleted some files from the mo2 folder thinking that i was cleaning some trash staining my dump. Realizing this, i reinstalled mo2, and everything seemed to work fine, but i am now struck with a big issue:

 

Everytime i load a save prior to that fuck up, the game loads, no problem. However, if i wait a few minutes in game, save and load the fresh save, the game crash on loading the save. I've tried the ancestral technique of disabling mods by packs of 40 or so to see which one may cause the issue, but the game state that the save went corrupt before i can confirm that all my mods are fine.

This also occurs on new games. I create the character, play a few minutes, save, and the game crash on loading it.

The load order, also just in case.

 

I use MO2 as stated before, and the modlist i work with isn't perfect, but it's the first time something like that happened to me. I had crashes that i fixed along the way, purging mods from the list and downloading patches and stuff, but nothing as widespread as this, on all saves including the fresh ones.

I wanted to say type in player.kill instead of loading the save to see what happens, but you're saying it also happens on a new game. So no point in that. 

 

Second option, try without skse and see if it loads up the game. If it does load up then you can look the issue in mods that require skse. 

 

Not sure. Can you post a NSF crash log? Maybe it can tell what's wrong.

Generally speaking, Papyrus logs are useless for debugging crashes. However, this caught my eye:

IsPluginInstalled is an SKSE function, which means you either aren't launching through the SKSE launcher or have broken your SKSE install.

I tried reinstalling skse, version 2.00.20, but it does not seem to work.

Maybe i'm missing something ? A security issue or something like that ?

Double-check your Skyrim version. Maybe Steam decided to push 1.6.x on you.

I reinstalled skyrim just in case and ran the downgrader with no success. The same issues are still occuring.

You can try disabling futa mods and Summermyst - Enchantments of Skyrim.

Start a new game and see what happens. If it crash again, post a new crash log. So on and so on. 

 

Or you just start from scratch. Because of

Ok, thanks to you, i figured the problem was with the "Project Protheus" mod !

It can apply some modifications to enchantments and characters (I've done both), and it was the only thing that creates and use files regularery. I tried disabling both the mod and the mod's output, and it works ! I've not tried extensively, but i can load a new game or a kind of old save, let it run for a few minutes, save and load without issues. It seems that most of the recent saves are corrupted for good tho.

So something is off in either the output of the mod or the mod itself. I'll try some stuff, see what happens and i'll post back what fixed the problem in case someone get the same problem.

Ok, so i did some testing and i don't understand anything.

 

I disabeled the mod that was causing the issue, "Protheus Project" and it's output. I then enableled the mod again and loaded the same save everytime by reenabling small parts of the output each time to see what exactly caused the issue, so that i knew how to fix it or what to look for. Turns out i was able to load with all the previous output files without crashing, and the crash on load completely stopped despite not having removed any files or change any of the file's path.

My only real move was to move the overwrite into an empty mod.

 

So if you stumble unpon the same problem, i don't really know what to tell you to fix it.
