mine410
please help I don't have any mods loaded or dlcs active just reinstalled it and can't start a new game Link to comment
lidowxxx
Please be more specific, when does the CTD happen? Is it random? right after you load a save? As general advice, please make sure your graphic card drivers are up to date and skyrim is patched to the latest. Also try to delete skyrimpref.ini and skyrim.ini(back them up before doing so if you have them modified), and then try to run the game again and see if CTD still happens. Link to comment
Bootaka
You don't have any active, but what do you have installed? If you have any mod installed that changes vanilla resources, for example the XP32 skeleton, or Realistic Ragdolls, you will CTD trying to use them without non-vanilla resource requirements. (FNIS and the RR.esp in this example)Â Â Â Link to comment
lordofthedread
I think the problem lies more in the ini files if the OP reinstalled a clean game, of course more details on what is happening would be nice if you want help. Â In the meantime you can try uninstalling the game again, removing all the game folders including the ones in your documents (where saves are located) and the one in appdata/local (you need to be able to see hidden files for this one) and then reinstall. brankomilenko
Don't forget to delete all files from the game, the folder in C:\Users\branko\AppData\Local\Skyrim remains after uninstalling the game, delete this folder and install the game, branko is my account name so ignore it. Link to comment
