Persona 5 (rpcs3) modding

Recommended Posts

--outdated. Version 3 on page 2

So after a learning how to use 3dsmax, I managed to port some of xelandis's nude models into the ps3 emulated version of the game ( https://www.deviantart.com/xelandis/gallery/all ). I was gonna wait till we got a true pc port to try this, but who knows when that'll be.

This was my first time rigging in 3dsmax so it's not perfect. I'll improve it over time.

Characters included: ann, makoto, haru, futaba, hifumi, kawakami, and kasumi. There's two texture versions included. The high resolution version has 4k upscaled body textures which you'll need the extra vram build of rpcs3 for.

If the texture glitches just change outfits back and forth, or save and reload and it should be fine.

I think that the models look better in the dungeons then in the overworld so I made one version that replaces all outfits with the nude mod (use the swimsuit outfit in batle to avoid any issues), and one version that replaces just the swimsuits with the nude mod.

The first thing I did was a bottomless texture edit of the p4 arena ouftits, then a bottomless mod for ann's dancewear outfit, and then I imported the battle bikinis from the p5 dancing game (ann and makoto only for now). So I added these to the modpack as well.

If you have any issues, let me know what mods you enabled, the version of rpcs3, and your load order.

Mods:  p5 modpack 1.0.7z  -obsolete

Place each folder into Aemulus's packages location.

Requirements:

Moddable version/region of persona 5, with dlc

Aemulus Package Manager: https://gamebanana.com/tools/6878

"P5 Modding Community Patches" enabled under rpcs3's patches options

Fix Softlock for Community Patches: https://gamebanana.com/mods/54472

If you are using the kasumi nude mod option then you'll need the kasumi over haru mod: https://gamebanana.com/mods/253058

If you are using the high resolution textures version of the nude mod, then you'll need the extra vram version of rpcs3 which you can get here: https://mega.nz/file/SLomQQ4B#xAHHUDg-Zvx4G0AfOhhJxoZ6WjsoHErRZv3rgCBv4UM    and here: https://mega.nz/file/EPwFWZDb#tMPcaKevE1Z6QCCIESNL5z24fidwS_ZHB8J4MxBRdh8

Then place this patch.yml file which has the "p5 modding community patches" enabled into the rpcs3 root directory (one version with character outlines and one without character outlines): rpcs3patches.7z   Use notepad to edit the .yml and replace the ppu hash with your own (How to find ppu hash: https://shrinefox.com/apps/PatchCreator)

Here's my load order for reference. My mod.cpk ends up being 15 gigsPicture1.thumb.png.fc43ae4267a60320db621ef1d413c1d1.png

Previews: (the ps3 outlines look pretty bad so I disabled them)

may i as which game ver is moddable version/region of persona 5, with dlc ?

I believe only the japanese version of p5 is unmoddable, I use the US version. And you'll need the p4 arena, dancewear, christmas outfits, and swimsuit dlc for the modded outfits to show. It's also possible to get mods working on a modded ps3 or ps4, but I don't know how.

Questiong regarding the 4k.

I've been trying to put the patch.yml file, but it never shows on the "manage game patch".

Looking at the codes, it does look different from the way that is written on the patches that current versions of RPCS3 uses.

I am using the extra vram build that was given here, and it still doesnt work.
Is there a way to implement the patch properly?

I've been struggling the whole day to make any 4k patch to work honestly;;;

I really want to use the 4k patch it possible. Man, the game looks kinda blurry now when I see it as 720P haha...

did u try using the rpcs3_mod.exe from here https://mega.nz/file/EPwFWZDb#tMPcaKevE1Z6QCCIESNL5z24fidwS_ZHB8J4MxBRdh8

it should remove the game patches option since it loads the patch.yml automatically.

Thank you.
I've done it before and it didn't work for some reason, but now it is working.

I guess the only problem now is that the FPS hover around 25 to 27.
My spec should be not horribly bad, so I thought it would be at least on the 30 FPS mark, but I guess not.
I'll play around with it a little more.

But, huge thanks!

P.S. I've built it using the Aemulus, however none of the mods are working.

For the low frame rate issue I've useed the RTSS program to fix it, but man, why is it so difficult to make anything work haha;;;;

I'm not exactly sure what is going on. Maybe the patch.yml is not being implemented properly.

Maybe I'll have to give up on the 4K UI's and Models.

here's the current guide:    https://shujynx.gitbook.io/p5-modding-guides-utilities/the-basics/setting-up-rpcs3

If you're using the extra vram and high res textures rpcs3 then:  place the patch.yml file from the downloads into the rpcs3 root directory
