NewbieNerd Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 I've installed the base Wicked Whims mod with a few simple animations to get me started, however when I loaded up the game it threw me onto a screen that said I had a "fatal error" and now the mods won't load at all. I've checked for the Script/Tuning and only the Tuning is there. I've tried reinstalling the mod to maybe see if that would help and the mod still doesn't show up at all. I don't think theres a way I could have messed this up, all I did was extract and move into the mods folder.Â
GreyMouse Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Sims version? Wicked Whims version? Did you enable script mods in game options? Delete localthumbcache.package after installing? Did you place WW more than one folder deep? ?
NewbieNerd Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 Sims is the latest version Wicked Whims is the latest version updated on the website I enabled script mods after, but custom content and mods were enabled before I was unaware you had to do that And the Wicked Whims folder was simply placed into the mods folder as is I didn't touch it after that
NewbieNerd Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 Is it possible I just have to remove some of the files from the previous installation to get it to work? I just don't know which files those are, and knowing my luck I'll delete something that makes the game run.
NewbieNerd Posted October 16, 2021 Author Posted October 16, 2021 This is the error code it's giving me, but see additionally this is the whicked whims folder, which if you look at the top, is just located in my mods folder
Husk Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Your WW is too many folders deep. The max is one folder, you have two. Taking the WickedWhimsMod folder straight to your Mods directory should fix it.

Every time you add or delete anything in your Mods folder, delete that file so that it doesn't retain old information. ?
