Hi Santana five months without news sims are you ok ?

Hey all! Surprise surprise I'm still alive 😝. Sorry for the lack of sims lately, or lack of anything really. There have been quite a lot of real life things I've had to deal with. Meaning I didn't have any time for my hobbies, and ultimately that's what this is: a hobby. Real life always comes first!

I'm still having to deal with a few things but I just wanted to let you know that I have been doing sims stuff. Just not here. Progress HAS been made. I don't know when I'll get back to finish and upload sims, but know that eventually it will resume. Just do me a favor and don't ask for certain sims. If they're not uploaded, it means they're not finished. If they're not finished, then I ain't got time. Hope y'all understand. 

 

In the meantime I'm gonna leave you guys with a video for some distraction 😄. It's my second video ever so it still looks incredibly rough and is nowhere near mrrakkonn's level. Enjoy!

@Santana-Red: I don't know if I remember correctly but I think there was a picture with Sofia and Fiona in a swimming pool or at the sea with a nerd guy.. I scrolled through the thread but I can't find it anymore.. did I dream it or was it removed or was it somewhere else?

Oh I didn't realize it was the same girl as later with the somewhat changed looks (from brown with a bit of blue to a lot of blue). 😀

Hey bro, I downloaded Jack Kujo and put him in my game, I'm able to edit him in CAS and all, but when I place him in a lot, he's there but he disappears from the UI, basically unplayable. I don't have any clue what's causing this, it's confusing because Jack used to work, must be an update or something. I tested other Sims and put them in a lot and they work fine, but it seems like Jack is broken.

A bunch of sims that were available for mrrakkon's world have been coming up as corrupted for me. Not just the ones Santana-Red made. I'm guessing there's some CC in the character that causing conflict. Try editing him in CAS and removing literally everything you can remove. Body and face options like skins, moles, tattoos, etc. Hair. Clothes. Everything.

 

See if he works after that. If so, then it was definitely a CC issue. If not, then try changing his traits.

 

If none of that works and you still want him in your save, try creating a fresh sim. It doesn't matter what they look like, as long as they're male. In game, click the sim, then MC Command Center -> MC CAS -> Copy/Past -> Scroll down to "Paste Tray Sim" -> Any Saved Sim. Then just find the Kujo family and select Jack. That'll copy him onto your sim. It'll even let you choose if you want to copy all of him, or just parts. If that works, cool. Try saving and restarting the game just in case to see if it still works after.

 

Let us know if you get him to work.

I think we lost Santana-Red it's sad because they were the only sims that I liked with those of Mrrakonn who also stopped :(

I saw that he was in a fight with another guy on loverslab because he allegedly stole the style of a Santana-Red character
 and I think he or she went for that.

I have jack in my game and there weren't any UI/corruption issues, when I read their reply on here a while back. He's still in my game in New Crest on another save. I'm thinking that the person that's having an issue may be related to other mods they have installed and will have to go through them. Using the 50/50 method and using GTD Mod manager and going to tools and look for dupes. If it's clothing, that won't cause the issue they're having. My other advice would to remove their mods from their folder and only putting Jack in. If it stops, it's something on their end that's causing it. Another thing they can try is making a new save file and testing that way. Lastly, they can try putting their mods back in with Jack and if it does the same thing, it's not the sim.

If you check Red's reply from May. They have been busy with life hobbies, Red probably just doesn't have time and wants to do other things too. Do you have a link to this "fight" they supposedly had?

Haha! Yeah, Google, Translate isn't the best. I use Yandex mostly. But I did, and the sims look nothing alike. It's just the hair that was the same, which anyone can use on any sim. What's your native lang? I want to guess French?

Hi, it's me that's having this problem with Jack. I only have WW and Basemental installed, but even when I take out those mods and only put Jack in, I still get the UI error and this problem persists. Even when I took out all of Jack's CC, I cannot control him, and one thing to note is that after putting him to a house and playing, he immediately ages up and there's nothing I can do. It's most likely not his CC, but perhaps his file itself is the issue? Is it because I don't own all of the DLCs that he's unable to be controlled?

 

Weirdly, I tested mrrakkonn's old Sims, published over 1 or 2 years ago with Tracy Mei and Johnny Stone, they loaded up just fine in my game, but Jack never seems to work for me. I also searched up if anyone else was having this error, and turns out there are like 2-3 people experiencing this, the character being there but being no UI and also, when you exit the lot through Manage Worlds, Jack disappears, as if I never put him there. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a solution yet, even on others' threads having this issue it's unresolved, I'm still not even sure what is the cause of the error.

 

Is it the unowned DLCs? But other, older Sims work just fine for me, so I can't really pinpoint what's going on

Is your game up to date via EA app? Try removing his custom traits if they're still in his folder, see if it's those.

What is the exact problem with ui? Is it in main menu?

The game is up to date, I managed to fix the issue somewhat by using MCCC and using the Paste Tray Sim function on a blank Sim, it worked. I found out that it was Jack's traits that were screwing it up for me, his CC and everything else is fine. Thanks for replying though

The problem was with the UI in Live Mode, it was weird because you can't do anything with the sim. The sim is there but you don't see his/her's portraits and there were no UI options
